My hubby and I are going to DL in May for our 10 year anniversary. We are combining our Vegas trip and also doing a Mexican cruise. We will more than likely be there May 22-26 at DL and I wanted to know where would be a good place to stay. We want to stay somewhere close. We stayed at CCI last year and loved it! :lovestruc

I haven't tried off-site yet, but I read rave reviews about Hojo's (esp w/entertainment book disc) since on Harbor or some about Fairfield.

I hope you get some more replies.:goodvibes

I was going to suggest CCI since I think it's one of the nicer looking hotels that is close enough to walk to but I guess you already know about it. Is there a reason that you're looking for a different place this time? Are you looking for something cheaper or closer or just want something different?

HoJo, CCI, these are walkable, farther away the Crowne Plaza is nice but they have a resort fee. We like the Peacock as well (it's our time share but they do have rooms for people not using points) but it's not really walkable, you'd have to ART that one. Tropicana is nice but not spectacular and BWPPI is also nice but nothing outstanding.

For truly wonderful and nice splurge for the GCH if you can. It's the BEST hotel in the area. :)

If I could, we would totally stay at Disneyland hotel. Kenny and I love the classic Disney feel and it's close to all the stuff we like to go to. He likes the idea of staying on property, but I like in Cali anyway of getting to explore the area. We both loved CCI and would come back in a heartbeat and I even wrote a very glowing article about them! I'm not sure. If we stay off-property, it'll probably be CCI. If we stay on-site, it'll be DH.

The thing is for us, we're going to Vegas beforehand and going on a Mexican cruise afterward. This is for our 10 year anniversary. 10 years together as a whole. We will be married 4 years next June, so we'll probably celebrate our wedding anniversary as well.

I'd try HoJo. Ask for a park view room. We had room 1713 in building one, had a great view, unobstructed by trees-- and top floor, so no noise above us, plus the lovely skylights made it very light and airy. There's a video of it in my TR, linked in my siggy below-- I think it's on page 5.

Watch the HoJo website and see if the Entertainment book becomes available for your dates, as it gets closer. http://www.hojoanaheim.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=14 Then you can call and switch your reservation to the lower rate (currently $79 a night for the premium Disney view room).

You really can't beat it for comfort, cleanliness, niceness, and great staff service, as well as being easy walking distance. No nicer place on Harbor, for the price.
