we might go to Disneyland the end of August{Aug 16-30} with my husband's whole family./..which would be a group of 19 of us... anybody have any good suggestions on places to stay that would have a good pool, not too far too walk (kids range from 19 to 1) and have a fairly decent price? There would be probably 4 total families ranging from 2 people in a room to 6 in a room. Any help would be greatly apprecited!

Booking over 10 people will give you group rates on rooms and I think park tickets. I know last group rate I say at GC was 225 a night for a regular priced room in the 400 dollar range. DLH andPP would much less then that.

If you are flyingsame holds true for flights. Used to be there was a discount and a free ticket for every 10 persons reserved for flight.

To get these rates you need to call Disneyland ans ask for group rates. Same with airlines call the airline you will be using, if flying, and ask for group reservations.

Hope this gives you more options.

I have seen where families rent a house. I did see one that was themed and looked wonderful. It was spendy but with that many people I am sure the per person cost would be very reasonable.

A problem you will run to is needing a room for six people. Most of the hotels right across the street have some suites that will work for this.

The Hojo has a great pool for small kids and is an easy walk. I would suggest staying on Harbor across from the parks and no further, so when the group get split up going to or from the parks they are simply a short walk away. No need for shuttle or anything. All of these hotels will be cheaper than the onsite hotels, but most have small simple pools.

Why 14 days? Where else are you going? You may want to stay in multiple areas if touring the region.

Residence Inn Maingate would be one of my suggestions. Rooms can sleep up to 8 depending on the room you book. Another advantage is they have areas where you can have a BBQ together. All rooms have a full kitchen, and near the pool area is an area with seating with BBQs.

I would also look into renting a vacation home. You might look here.
