Where to stay for WDW vacation?

Hello, everyone! I just joined the board today, and I'm trying to plan a trip to WDW for 2 adults. I have plane tickets and car rental for mid-March '08. All I need now are accommodations (and park tickets, but I'll figure that out next). Can someone please give me suggestions on where to stay?

Here are my necessary requirements:

5-day/4-night stay
Full kitchen
Whirlpool tub (inroom)
Washer/dryer would be nice, but not required.

I don't mind renting a house, villa, or condo. If you can suggest a nice place that is reasonably priced, please post!

Let me be the first to welcome you to the board. We have rented condos in both Emerald Island and Windsor Hills and have been very happy. Try using vrbo.com. You rent directly from the owners. You might also look at Cypress Point and Cypress Point Grand Villas right outside of DTD. You can get some great deals thru hotelkingdom.com on them.

They are always the cheapest and a pleasure to work with.

We go in MArch every year, and have rented homes in EI and WH and love it, but while they have oversize deep garden tubs in the masters, I don't think they qualify as "whirpool."

I wonder if that requirement might eliminate the self-catering neighborhoods and put you into a timeshare? Others will have more advice about timeshare resorts and offsite hotels (several like the Vistana, for example), but FWIW, we love staying offsite for the larger space and lower rates.

As Mainbound says the requirement of a whirlpool tub may exclude many of the private rentals. Many will just have a garden tub.

Some of the townhome resorts have patio hot-tubs - either the splash pool type like at Windsor HIlls or Terre Verde or the stand alone type like at Coral Cay - which may be a good compromise on this requirement

Jacuzzi tubs can be found in many of the timeshare resort in the area - and there are a lot of those. You might check out www.redweeks.com for a timeshare rental.

I recommend www.undercovertourist.com for your park tickets as they tend to have the consistenly lowest prices and don't charge extra for standard shipping, along with outstanding customer service.
