My husband and I are going to WDW for our 10 year anniversary for 9 days and we aren't sure where to stay. We joined DVC in December of 2013 and have only used our points once (stayed in a 2 bedroom at VGF with our kids and my parents and it was wonderful). We'll be there at the end of April 2016. Our home is VGF and, while we did love it there, we were thinking it might be nice to try out one of the other properties (either in the MK area or Epcot area). Thoughts? Suggestions?

DW and I did our 15th, 20th, & 25th anniversaries on DCLs. Completely different experience than our DVC stays.
If DVC is your choice, you might want to look into renting your points and then using the cash to rent a stay from someone with BWV/BCV 11 month booking advantage.

One of our favorites is VWL. The surrounding area is so beautiful. We love to take early morning or early evening walks to Fort Wilderness and see all the animals. While we liked BWV- some of the villas are very far away from the action. BCV is a little closer in, but we always feel crowded there.

Thank you for the recommendations! If we wanted to try to get reservations for VWL, BCV, or BWV at the 7 month mark for 9 days at the end of April what are my chances of there being studios available? Should I reserve a studio at VGF at 11 months and then check on the others at 7 months and switch is something is available (can I even do that)?

Yes! This is what should be done for all reservations. That way you have a stay some where.
If you need the points from the 11 month reseravtion to do the 7 month, you would have to cancel the first reservation, and then book the 7 month.

How about trying to book a studio at the new Poly DVC since you mentioned MK area?

I agree with the Poly, might as well try since it's new. My other suggestions would be VWL and BWV. I just love the VWL for the beautiful surroundings and the boat to MK. The BWV's are great too with the setting along the canal and the actual BW itself.

Great suggestion! I wasn't even considering Poly because it's new and I figured it wouldn't be available but it doesn't hurt to try. If that's not available I'm leaning towards BCV and BWV. VWL looks amazing but I'm from the Pacific Northwest and it reminds me of home. Seems kind of silly to fly across the country and stay someplace that's a lot like places at home. If BCV and BWV aren't available either I'll stick with VGF. Thanks everyone for all of your suggestions!
