We would love to stay at Disney but here are the issues; family of six with Mom, Dad, 20 and 18 yr old; 11 and 10 yr old! Want to show the small ones Disney-big ones have been there/done that! How do we find a resort that will keep our "young adults" happy-read great pools, spa, great work out facilities; yet close by so when the younger ones are done in the parks can find time for all of us? We need relatively unexpensive ideas as we live far away from Disney and soon will have 2 in college. Looking at All Star movie suites-looks too juvenile; Sheraton Vistana Resorts; villas at Disney-looks too exp, etc. Like adventure and excitement so home rentals are out.
Any help or ideas are great!!!:grouphug:

OK, to start with, no values or moderate resorts have spas or workout facilities, so you will need to consider only a deluxe resort. I THINK only Saratoga and GF have spas.

have you considered the junior suites at coronado springs? i think the pool and foodcourt there appeals to all ages.

We prices AKL standard and it was very reasonable. The gym seems nice and Disney busses aren't that bad. Just remember that opinions are free. :scratchin

That is one tall order. But I to will give my free advice as well. If you can get a good enough room rate at the CR you will get a nice gym, nice pool, nice watersports, good places to eat and very close and convenient to MK and Epcot by monorail. If you go offsite the Marriot World center is outstanding in all catgories however it is not real close like a Disney property. In the end you may have to compromise and balance desires with budget. That always seems to be the delima. :upsidedow

We are also a family of six (our children are 4 - 18). From a budget/ benefit standpoint my vote would be for two connecting rooms (slightly cheaper than a junior suite and more space) at the CSR. Check out Buzz's CSR info (version 3) on the sticky page. It's terrific and it makes the resort look very tempting!! While it doesn't have a spa it does have a great gym and pool, I think it's the only moderate with a gym, and they offer a variety of fun water sports activities. Good luck!

I haven't stayed there, but how about Doubletree Guest Suites in Downtown Disney? The suites sleep six.

Book the mousesavers.com rate. It includes a cold breakfast buffet.

I would go with 2 rooms at CSR....

You don't want to be schlepping to your car in the heat of Aug.
Just step right on the A/C buses:thumbsup2
It will be real hot and CSR has a great pool.....just check that they are
not doing a rehab on the pool when you will be there.

CSR! Great pool, transportation and food options. Just Hang out by the pool during the day and hit the parks later in the day and evening.

Another vote for CSR! Awesome slide, pool and transportation!

We are trying CSR for the first time in August also! I think it's looks lovely and if you check out BUZZS thread you will probably book CSR also!
