Where to stay and how to get there

We are two families totalling 9 people. We are arriving MCO around 10:00 pm on the 25th of April and are cruising on the 26th. We will need to rent a car (or two) and want to be able to return the car before we cruise and still be able to get to the terminal without paying for a taxi. Where do you suggest we stay and which company should we rent from that is easy to return the car to. Thanks for your help.

We have always used Avis and have always stayed at the Radisson at the Port. Avis has a drop off right at the hotel and has a shuttle service to the port. It is very convenient.

We are a party of 8 traveling next week again for our 1/4 cruise and we have rented two cars from Avis at MCO, a SUV for $67 and a Monte Carlo for $40. Still much cheaper than DCL transfers. We want a car the to have on the Friday before the cruise to do some sightseeing.

We used a code from www.mousesavers.com (do a search at the site for rental cars) and booked online at www.avis.com using the code.

We are staying one night at the Radisson in the 2 king bed jacuzzi suite for $99 using the VISIT FLA code at www.radisson.com site.

mmouse37 has this thing nailed to a tee, that is what we do when situation warrants........... the radisson is nice enough for the night before the cruise and u will be getting in late
so bye the time u get to the port ... it is bed time sounds like it could work out well for u also....
they also provide a free shuttle to the ship the next morning....
