Our family is going to Disney next June. 8days/7nights. DH and myself, DD (17), DD (7), DS (4) and maybe DS (20) if he doesn't have a job :)

I would like to do a split stay. I'm thinking Poly and BC. Can you help direct me to some threads about room configurations--do I want to get a villa or 2 rooms? What is the difference between the beach club and the yacht club? are they the same resort? or different areas of the same resort?

The big kids and DS (7) have been to disney before but it will be DS(4) 1st time. I'm very much a fan of doing the parks for a bit in the morning and then back to the hotel in the afternoon for swimming and naps if wanted and then back to the park in the evening. I know the monorail resorts are good for this, but what about BC?

Thanks for helping me start to plan

The BC and the YC are two resorts that share a great pool area called storm-along Bay, the kids will love it! You can walk to Epcot in 10 min from BC and you have great food choices from the Boardwalk resort as well as the Swan and Dolphin resorts that are all within walking distance. Also a short boat ride to HS.The atmosphere is great at BC especially at night. Have stayed at BC several times and love it! You will not be disappointed. Have a great trip!

You can fit 5 in the deluxe rooms, but if you have a sixth, I would go with a 2 bdrm villa. As pp said, the pool at BC is awesome. You may want to consider renting DVC points, as it is cheaper than going directly through Disney. If you go through Disney, they typically offer better discounts at OKW and SSR. We are DVC owners at SSR. We enjoy having the space to spread out and rerlax when we are back at the esoet. SSR is great because of its proximity to DTD and OKW is great for its laid back feel and large rooms. I would suggest looking at those two resorts for a larger room for less than other villas. David's DVC rental is a reputable broker if you are interested in renting points. Good luck.:goodvibes
