Hello

I am new to this site but very excited. We are planning our first trip to Disney( Jan30-Feb9 2010)with our lil girl who will be 4 years old. I am not sure where to begin. We are staying off site, we have a house rented. She does have celiac disease and will require some special dietary needs but i hear at disney this is not an issue. Any info would be greatly appreciated! Looking forward to talking and sharing!

Welcome! I am fairly new to this board as well but a frequent WDW traveller. We usually stay off site as well. Although, we do throw in a couple of trips where we stay in the park too. First piece of advice I can give is to go at a place your DD can handle. If she naps, try to fit in naps. A character meal is always good if the budget allows. This cuts down on waiting in line to get their autograph. I recomment the Princess Breakfast at Akershus. If she likes Pooh the Crystal Palace in Magic Kingdom is wonderful. We also brought my daughter to the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique in Downtown Disney at that age and she loved it!! We brought a princess dress from home (much cheaper) and got the $50 package with hair, makeup and nails. Since you are staying off site, purchase a case of water bottles. We would freeze ours the night before and pack them in a soft sided cooler with our lunch so they double as ice packs. With the water at around $3 a bottle in the park this is really adds up. We also buy Pringles chips (if you like chips) because the cannister packs well and the chips don't get broken. Remember to pack sweatshirts in the backpack as well as the nights may be chilly. Feel free to PM me with any specific questions or if you need more info. Just try to have fun and enjoy each other. You will have a blast. Such a great age to see it all through their eyes.princess:

I forgot to mention, you need to make advanced dining reservations 90 days in advance for the sit down restaurants. Mention about your daughter's celiac disease at that point the chef's can be prepared. They really are wonderful at accommodating dietary needs.

Thanks for all the helpful info. i will take you up on your offer and send you messages when i think about some!

I'm new here too. This is all very overwhelming. I don't know where to start. I'm a huge fan of Disney and go as often as possible. I look forward to learning from everyone.

At first the boards will seem like trying to drink from a fire hose.

If you are not familiar with how to track threads, let us know. Nothing like not being able to find anything you've seen once...
