Where to start?!

Hi everyone,

As you've probably seen, I'm a bit of a lurker and have posted a few questions here and there but haven't really got any further!

I'll start this thread by saying that DF and I have not committed to a date yet and it will probably not be for a few more years as we are both young (21) and want to finish University and get proper jobs so that we can save money for a house and then eventually our wedding.

Basically, I'm addicted to Disney and have managed to convert DF over the years! I'm actually hoping to go and work at WDW for a year next year, so as you can see, I can't get enough of the place! I have always dreamed that I would get married there and now I can start to plan.

As I said, I have got a few years to plan, we're looking at 2011/2012 so it's quite a way off yet but I can't hold it in anymore! I've enjoyed reading everyone elses PJs and TRs and thought there's no harm in gatheirng information and beginning to plan. After all it can go into my scrapbook ready for the time when more serious planning begins!

So here goes....where did you start when planning?! We will definitely be having the wedding at WDW and I LOVE SBP, if not there then I would choose the WP. The main thing I'm struggling with is the reception and possible colours/themes. I'm torn between making it a really soft/romantic wedding and a colourful/bright wedding. I don't think I want it to be too in your face Disney as not everyone is as crazy about it as us, but I would love to have fun and have hidden mickeys etc.

So basically, the point I'm trying to make is...any suggestions/pictures/useful contacts that I can have a think about?

i think it's great that you are able to plan so far away. i was never the girl that planned her wedding, i never thought i would get married in fact, so now that it's actually happening, i kind of got lost in the first few months.

if i could give you advice, i would try to think of styles of things that you like. then your colors and everything else will fall into place.
