Where to stand for the parade stops?

I've never seen the daytime parade at DLP before (the twice we've been before has been at Halloween and Christmas), so was wondering where the best place to stand is to see the parade when it stops?

I've heard an extract of the song, and am so excited to hear it! I've a feeling it's going to be stuck in my head for a long time! :rotfl:

DLRP Magic has a good guide, which includes a map of DLRP detailing the floats and where they stop. It's on this page and the map is right down at the very bottom :goodvibes

Also, it is generally easier to get a good position, if you don't want to be hanging around for ages, between the start of the parade, opposite the Bella Notte restaurant in Fantasyland, all the way down to the turrets there. And if you like princesses, opposite Bella Notte is where to stand, to see them when the floats stop and they come and dance in the parade route.

Thanks for that Elaine - I had a look at the map but having never been before I didn't have a clue!! Bella Notte it is for us :thumbsup2

Just to be aware though, when we were there a couple of weeks ago the parade was only stopping once - I don't know why, but it didn't do the stop between Fantasyland and the castle, only the 'second' stop between the castle and down Main Street.

If you ask the CMs organising the parade route they'll be able to tell you whether it's stopping once or twice.

Mind you, I'd still rather get a space (and a good one at that) outside the Bella Notte about 15-20 mins before the parade and NOT see the stops, than have to wait an hour or more on Main Street and then get involved in all the pushing and shoving there just to see a stop

I'm so sad I even have my exact spot - right next to the 1st pink bin on the route   :rotfl:

There seems to be a similar spot on main street where you don't have to wait very long, which is roughly in between the orange 1 and 4 at the bottom of the map (i.e. between the exit to the discovery arcade and the gates that the parade disappears through).

If you get your positioning right, then you should be able to see stop 1, plus you get a very good view of the floats as they come round the corner, then drive right past you and disappear through the gates.

This was where we used to sit for every parade until DB started getting a disabled pass and we still sit there even now if the disabled spots are busy :thumbsup2

Can someone tell me where the Villan float stops as I can't quite make it out on the map? Thanks.

Oooh I just asked this recently - it stops near the seating area at the Castle stage. The side of the seats closer to the Fantasyland turrets.

I think I know where you mean.... Thanks.... :goodvibes

Looking at the map, the villains also seem to stop about 1/2 way down main street, but I expect you'd have to wait quite a while for a spot there. Basically, it's either of the 5s on that map.
