It's been about 5 years since I last did Disney at Christmas, but if memory serves, the Osborne Lights are all throughout the Streets of America. It's a walk-through, not a stand-and-watch like a parade or fireworks show. Hope that helps!
Most people like to stand by the large christmas tree in front of Youse Guys Moychindise for when the lights turn on, it's crowded and gives you a limited view of the whole area.
Our favorite spot is by the restrooms next to LMA, you can see the whole area down streets of america and it's not crowded at all, after they turn on we just take our time walking around.
The lights turn at dusk, which is around 6pm

Totally agree! There is so much to see and experience. Don't miss the side streets off the Streets of America. Each has special treasures to enjoy. To get a somewhat over-all effect, view from the ends of the main street but slowing move up the street and check out all the buildings, side streets, overhead decorations. Enjoy the Trans Siberian Orchestra Christmas music, you'll get goose pimples.
