We are planning on getting the DP when we go next year. I want to take DD to eat dinner at the castle but realize DH and DS 10 will have no interest and it would be a waste to take them. Where should I send them to eat while we are at the castle? I have to figure out how to make the most of CS and TS, etc but would like suggestions on cool places that boys would like more.

You may want to talk to your DH and DS. Last year we went to CRT and Norway. My DS (then 15) and his best friend (14 ) both enjoyed the meals and the princesses. Yes, they got autograph books and had them signed. They had a blast. I was worried they would feel they wouldn't enjoy those two meals, thinking it was more for DD. When we started planning for this year, DS asked if we were going to do a princess meal. So you just never know.

yah i agree took my 12 yr old twin boys to the castle and they enjoyed the food and cindarella, just remember it is a pretty girl not really a character.

If you're sure they won't like the castle, then you can look for something else, but be certain they won't like the castle. Most boys, unless they're at the girls are icky stage, don't mind a little attention from a pretty girl, especially if she's a Disney Princess. After all, who are those knights in shining armor defending?

I would send a DH and a DS10 off to Frontierland when our dinner/lunch at the castle was taking place. They could catch a quick great bite to eat at Pecos Bill's (CS) there...hamburgers with an extra nice fixin's bar (including sauteed onions and sauteed mushrooms)...I'm pretty sure there's a huge chicken wrap available now too...

Anyway it would make for some nice "guy time" exploring Tom Sawyer's island (closes at dusk) with its special caves and a fort and a barrel bridge...nice for them to be able to show you when/if you girls get to do it. Also over in Frontierland is Big Thunder Mountain (fun to experience both during the day and at night...feels different at night) and Splash Mountain (if you sit in the back part of the log you most probably won't get wet, this is especially true at colder times of the year). Oh, and there's a shootin' arcade that guys just love...it costs fifty cents each.

In a nutshell, your guys can find plenty to do and plenty to eat in Frontierland while you take your time dining at the castle...and it's close for meeting up later or at the end of the night. It is fun to split up and share different experiences...big brothers love to be the ones "in the know" so they can show little sis where to find the rafts for Tom Sawyer's island, for instance...lol

You know your family best, so only you can decide if the castle wouldn't seem cool to the males in your family. My fellas think it's ok :) ...but my daughters and I love it!.....and still do!
