DH and I will be dining alone  at Boma one evening on our trip. DMIL will be joining us for our trip with our 4 and 6 year old DD's. I need to send them somewhere to eat that is table service while we are eating. We will be at Animal Kingdom that day and are staying at the Poly. My first thought was 1900 Park Fare but I just saw it is a buffet and I am not sure of the logistics of her watching both girls and getting their food :confused3. It normally takes 2 adults to do a buffet with them. So, I am looking for somewhere that she can get to very easily that is not a buffet. I would prefer a table service since we are on the DDP and this way we keep the credits the same for everyone.

Thanks!!!

Since you are staying at the Poly, Kona is a great choice. They won't have to leave the resort and it is a very good restaurant.

We LOVE O'Hana which is at the Poly. Sometimes it's hard to get a reservation but it's a great dinner.

My first thought was 1900 Park Fare too, but I see your point that it could be hard for her. My second choice would be Ohana or Kona Cafe, since they are both at the Poly where you are staying.

Could they go to another park to eat? Because dinner at Askerhus at Norway sounds about perfect: little-girl-princess heaven and although you get up to get your appetizers, the servers bring you your entree, beverage, & dessert.

Realize this would require Park Hoppers, though, and Nana might not want to do that much transport without you.

I don't know that any TS in AK is really right for them. And although both Kona Cafe and Ohana might appeal to Nana, maybe not so much to the girls. Again - if you can park hop - would they like Garden Grill in Epcot, or either Liberty Tree Tavern or Tony's in MK? The MK restaurants give them the easiest transport back to the Poly afterwards, and again all are sit-down TS options.

I'd go with Kona Cafe or 'Ohana. Both are good.

'Ohana has a coconut races for the kids and hula dancing. Food is brought to the table at both places but 'Ohana has the meat/seafood brought around on skewers. They are also able to bring hotdogs and fries if your children don't like the yummy food they offer.

Being at the resort you are staying at leaves more time for swimming or something else that Nana and the girls would like to do.

Tusker House at AK is another buffet. It's also good, but as others have mentioned it's more challenging with two kids and one adult to do buffets.

Would you consider sending them to WL for Whispering Canyon Cafe? It's loud and boisterous, but a lot of fun (we ate there twice and loved it). It's a sit-down, but the girls would be able to do things like dance the hokey-pokey, ride hobby horses (stick horses) around, get every bottle of ketchup on their table, then take it to the next table who asks for it.

The kids liked Whispering Canyon last time and I had not thought about that. We are doing O'hana together one night so I would like to send them somewhere different. Looks like it will be Kona or WC. Is it a 2 boat ride to WC? Is that the easiest way to get there?

If they are coming from AK then I would take any of the buses (MK, Cont, Poly, GF) which ever shows up first. Then take the boat over to FW. They could also take the FW bus but then they need to catch another internal bus-not too bad, but I did have to ask the CM which bus to catch to take me to HDDR.

Kona may be the easiest choice . . . unless you're uncertain dd's will enjoy it. WC is a boat to MK, then a boat to WL, but the docks are right next to each other :). One thing to consider would be grandma's enjoyment of WL? I know some people don't like the "wit" or the noise :)
