Where to request room? Sheraton Vistana Resort Villas

Hi Everybody,

We are flying to Orlando tomorrow and staying at the Sheraton Vistana Resort Villas, 8800 Vistana Centre Dr.

I want to call and confirm and also maybe make a building or room request if you think that's helpful for where a good room is. Would you please advice a particular area or building?

Hi Karen,

There is a very good thread about SVR here http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2088957 that explains everything you ever wanted to know about the resort, and then some. Since you are leaving tomorrow and the thread is 50 pages long, I don't think you'll get to it though!

The short answer to your question is that there really aren't any bad sections at the resort. The resort owners recently completed a full refurbishment of the all resort units and they are wonderful. Each of the seven sections has a different feel however, so after your first visit you may develop a favorite. I am a devoted South sider, but many prefer the newer North side.

The only advice I have about buildings is to avoid those that back onto I-4 and the off-ramp. When you are checking in, they will show you your unit on the resort map. If it is located in Fountains II in the row that runs diagonally across the top right of the map (44,45, 49, 50, 53, 54, 55) I would ask for a reassignment.

Thanks so much for the heads up about the area of the Fountains by the freeway. I will let you know after we return where we stayed and how it all went for us.

We are here, in the Fountains area, near the Fountains pool and food court. Our 2 bedroom is fabulous, it's fantastic, great space, quiet, luxurious, we are enjoying the apartment and it's closeness to Disney World. No complaints, it's going to be a great visit!
