Where to request at Saratoga

I have been reading that you can request certain areas at Saratoga. Which areas are the best? I don't really care about being close to the pool, but it would be nice to be near the last bus stop, so you don't have to wait on everyone else. I also don't care about having a golf course view, but it would be nice to have a water view. So, I guess I want something with a water view that is in the area with the last pickup location. Also, do I just call MS and ask them to put the request on my reservation?

i think the Springs is the best. its in the middle of the resport so its near the lobby, the main pool, fitness center, spa, everything!! Its all close to the bus, and, if you plan on seeing room models on your trip, its also near the preview center!!

Sounds like what you want is Congress Park. Just ask MS to put the request on your reservation. No guarantees, but it's worth asking.

From your post it sounds like you want Congress Park or the Springs. CP has rooms that overlook the lake and DTD. Springs is across from the HH area. My only warning is that at busy times, when the bus comes to the Springs it is already full and you will either be standing for your entire trip, or you may not even get on at all. Depending on who is in your party, I've seen some meltdowns when this happens!

My personal favorite is the Grandstand area because we want the first bus stop (you may have to ride to all the other stops, but coming back you are the first one off!), it's a short walk to the HH area and you are next to a well-themed quiet pool with snack shack/mug refill station.

Let me second that emotion. We were at the Grandstand last month and we loved staying there too for all the resasons that you mentioned.

The first time we stayed there we didn't request anything and were in the Paddocks. I had to say I liked being there. We walked out the side stairs exit and right onto the pedestrian bridge which was a straight shot to the pool and restaurants. There was a great view of the ponds and fountain too. And since we were the 2nd bus stop, it was never full. And then we were the 2nd stop coming back at night.

For our May anniversary trip, my DH and I are requesting a DTD view b/c I know we'll probably be back and forth there more often since we'll be without our kids! It will also be good to be closer to shopping so we can spend too much on souvenirs to make up for not bringing them to Disney!

hi we put in a request for grandstand for our trip this year when we made reservation, as this was the area we stayed last year we go tomorrow and wonder do we need to send another request and if so how do we do it??? Or will it be noted from our org request 11 months ago???

The org request will be noted, you could try and call DVC but I think as you go tomorrow your room will have already been allocated. Just ask at check in what they have available.
Based on my experience last year the resort wasn't that full so you might have a choice of where you can get.
Maybe we'll see you there, we leave on Monday !

I think Vandy meant to say CH (Carriage House) the main area where check in, store, food....... HH would be Hospitality House at OKW
