I am going to be staying at POP and using Disney's Magical Express to get from/to the airport. I would like to rent a car for a couple days of my stay while at Disney. How do I do this? Are there any rental car companies in Disney? Do they charge a lot more than renting at the airport? Thanks for your help!

You can rent from alamo or national both on property at the car care center. I can't remember the code but if you put in Orland or Wlat Disney World it gives you the options, choose care care center. You can use MME to get to your room and their busses will take you to the CCC and even bring you back when you drop off. Alamo has been cheaper in the past. Good luck

There is also most of the rental places at the DTD area as well.

I have been using Dollar the past few trips as they are the cheapest.

They are most an easy walk from the DTD marketplace bus stops but most offer pick-up and dropoff.

I have yet to encounter a rental car company at the airport that doesn't charge an airport fee for renting there. It could be a tax money for the government or a convenience fee, I don't know - never looked into it. But they all do it, in my experience.

I've never rented a car on Disney property (not at the airport) and can't help with that.

we've rented from Budget at DoubleTree @ DTD... i think they have "pick you up" service, but i'm not sure... it was about a 5-10 minute walk to the hotel from DTD

As others have pointed out - don't assume that your only/best choice is Alamo at the CCC or the Dolphin. All the major car rental companies have locations on Disney property so be sure to check them all. Don't forget to go to www.mousesavers.com for a list of the current discount codes.
