Know someone who is wanting to rent a cabin for the weekend next month in the Smoky Mountains. Now I would know where to go to for a Disney trip,:thumbsup2 but the Smokey Mountains, nada. :confused3 So, what rental agencies are the best, the most reliable, afforable, ect.

I've used USACabins before. I was pleased. Pigeonforgetncabins seems like a good site as well. Just think about what amenties you want and look at all of the pictures. One of my friends insists on the hottub being on the main level. This is a good idea.

I would recommend going to Tripadvisor or VRBO and looking at reviews. We have used several different companies over the years there and have always been very lucky. Honestly, I always find looking at cabins there very overwhelming because there are so many choices/companies!! If I have a chance tonight, I'll look back and see if I can find the companies we have used and post them here.
Biggest thing is decide on what you want and have to have in the cabin and what location you are looking for and then you can start whittling the list down from there.

AirBNB.com is another one. I used them for my trip to St. Augustine this summer. I prefer the protection of a third party. They hold the cost until 24 hours after you check in before releasing the money to the owner.

VRBO is your friend because you can narrow down so many things that are or are not important.

We chose Mark 10:27 from that site. The lady had several cabins and was a pleasure to deal with

I love the cottages at Hidden Mountain. http://www.hiddenmountain.com/

They are very reasonably priced and they are on a cute little hillside cul de sac just past the Apple Barn so they are very conveniently located. They also have cabins. I've never stayed in one of their cabins but we have stayed elsewhere that was much more expensive.

I also like the condos and the indoor water park at The Resort at Governor's Crossing. http://www.governorscrossing.net/

We rented through vrbo a couple years ago at the Smokeys and were very pleased. We have also used vrbo for Myrtle beach. Every time we have been very pleased. It is definitely the way to go if you have a large group of people.
