Where to put infant during dinner?

Can you bring strollers into the nice sit down restaurants? (for infants too small to sit in a highchair) I have heard that you can IF the baby is sleeping....other wise, do you have to hold the baby while you are trying to eat?

I could lay the baby down beside me if we had a booth, but if we have chairs...????

We are going in Sept and will have a 4 month old. We plan to eat at Donald's breakfast, Coral Reef, Chef Mickey's and Hoop-De-Do. The rest of the meals will be counter service. I think we'll be ok there.

Yes, we have been to WDW 4 times with DD and we were told that you cannot bring a stroller into a restaurant unless the child is sleeping. Are you bringing a travel system? If you are, you can detach the "car seat" and place on the booth seat, or one of the chairs at the table. If not, I don't know if you have any other options but to hold your little pumpkin on your lap. Have fun on your trip!

I would buy a sling. I ate many dinners with DS in the sling watching everything. It's nice because you still have your hands free--just watch out for falling food. You don't want to scald the baby with hot soup.

When we took our DD at 4 mo., they let us bring the stroller into all of the restaurants, asleep or awake. I don't know if it makes a difference, but it was a pretty small stroller that didn't take up a lot of room.

We had a infant seat in one of those Graco snap and go things..which are not much bigger than the seats(and much easier than a regular stroller at this age.. we had no problem....if you have the carrier no problem. Some restaurants have infant high chairs, im sure you can call and ask whick ones have them.

Some of the resturants have chairs with infants seats in them they are limited in availability though.

We would just carry them in their infant carrier and we never had a problem.

The restaurants we were able to bring our stroller into was Jiko and Mama Melrose. Amelia was only 5mo (was 2 mo premature) when we took her to Disney last Sept and was not sitting in a high chair at the time. We took her full travel system complete with the carseat attached to the stroller and kept her in that. She wasn't ready to be sitting in her stroller on her own at that time and she got much better sun coverage from the shield on the car seat portion as opposed to the stroller.

When we went into a restaurant, we took the car seat off of the stroller and brought that in with us. At Crystal Palace they had this reclining style plastic 'high chair' that she was able to comfortably sit in -- that was one of the only exceptions. It is hard to call it a high chair because that's not really what it was. I wish I had a photo of it, but I don't.

We took our stroller into most. It might depend on the time of year and how busy the restaurants are. We went last Sept with our 3 kids DD was 3 months, sometimes she was asleep other times not. We took her stroller into Coral Reef, Cindarella's Royal Table, 50's Prime Time, Brown Derby, Chef Mickey's, even Beaches N'Cream allowed us to bring in the stroller and it's tiny in there. If she got fussy, I would lie her on the booth next to me and let her kick.

I took my DOUBLE stroller (then it was a Aria Twin) into most places (including Le Cellier!). The only places I didn't take it in, was Chef Mickey's and Crystal Palace. DD was 4 1/2 months old at the time, so I put her in the plastic seat that's attached to the high chairs.

I do have a travel system and will consider taking that!
