Where to pick up rental car?

DH, DD, DD, and myself will be at WDW 4/20 - 4/24, staying at the Residence Inn Sea World, and having a rental car. On 4/24, DH, and DDs will leave and I will move to the Hilton Disney to attend a workshop until 4/28.

I'd like to have the convenience of a rental car, so should I go to the airport with the family, take a shuttle to National or Avis (my work's preferred car rental companies) to get my rental car, then drive to the Hilton Disney to drop off my bags, then go to where I planned to go for the rest of the day (Epcot's flower show!)?

Or, should I have my family drop me off at the Hilton Disney, get my car rental at the Avis counter at the hotel, then go to Epcot? It seems that the second option is quicker and less hassle. However, I feel a bit quilty about leaving my family that much earlier. I know I can't go past the Security checkpoint, so how far into the airport can I go with them?

I know my husband can handle checking in with the girls because he has done it before when the girls were younger (they're now 7.5 and 6), so it's not like I have to help him with the bags.

What's your advice?

I would get your car at the airport. No shuttle needed for National or Alamo as the cars are located in the parking garage.

You can go as far as the security checkpoint in the main terminal with your family. You are welcome to walk around the main terminal with them if you would like to check out the shops and restaurants.

I would go to the airport as well...bathroom breaks, an extra hand, etc..

No need to take a shuttle for Avis either. It is located in the parking garage, too.

I asked DH which option he preferred. Either one would be fine with him. So, I guess I'll wait until then and see how everyone is doing, then I'll make the decision.

Only two more days until we leave for our trip!!!!
