We are taking a quick day trip to Cocoa Beach from WDW on July 3rd. We are renting a car and I have never driven in Florida much less gone to a beach in Florida, and I'm worried about navigating my way around. Once we get to Cocoa Beach, where do I park? We will need to find a place to eat while there, so it would need to be close to a restaurant or eatery of some sort. It will be me, husband, 9 yr old and 1 year old. Thanks for any advice!

We used the public parking that was near Ron Jon's shop...it was free and a pretty quick walk to the beach and a few good restaurants. That was a couple yrs ago but I'm sure it's still there. It wasn't hard at all to find parking and the walk to the beach was simple too..

It's funny you should ask that today. I just googled public beach access Cocoa Beach this morning. I found three county parks. The one that looked the best to me was Lori Wilson Park. It is the biggest (32 acres) and it is FREE! They have outdoor showers, restroom facilities, grills, picnic pavillions, and a playground. It is located at 1500 N Atlantic Ave, Cocoa Beach, FL. The phone number is 321-455-1385. It looks like a really nice place to spend the day. We are planning to going there on our trip to Disney in 8 days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:banana::banana::banana::banana::banana::banana::banana::banana::banana::banana::banana::banana::banana::banana::banana:

We have gone to this park on a day trip to Cocoa Beach. We plan to go again in June when we take our grandsons with us to WDW. It's nice and plenty of parking.

We also have been to this park and beach access many times. It is our favorite spot at Cocoa beach.

Thanks to all for the advice! Lori Wilson Park sounds great! I looked it up and found some pics and I think we might aim for that, but from the advice I've gotten on here, it sounds like we will be able to find parking and restaurants pretty easily. I'm not quite as nervous about it as I was. :thumbsup2
