Celebrating a birthday. We'll have dinner that night at either Rain Forrest or Blue Bayou. I understand there is a web site where you can order a birthday cake thru disney dining? Anyone know where that is? Also, how do you order the birthday buckets and where do you get them? We will be at a character breakfast... is that where the bucket comes in? Do you pre-order them? Also... is there a grocery store nearby that has a bakery to get a cake? thanks.

Don't forget ro go to City Hall to get your birthday sticker :)

Most full service restaurants sell the bday buckets as well as character breakfasts. I got my daughters Princess Bucket at Blue Ribbon Bakery on Main Street though :) (when you're facing the castle it's on the left) You don't need to pre-order them.

I'm not sure about the website and where you can purchase a cake around DLR, sorry...

DH bought me a princess bucket somewhere on Main Street. By the way, princess bucket for an adult who is NOT princessy (or with baby-fine hair?) was soooooo not worth it.

And I wasn't a fan of the "cake" they had inside the bucket. I ate it, it cost us money, but I didn't like it much.

So once you find out where to order cake, assuming it's different from the bucket cake, get it!

I've heard that Blue Bayou does a free dessert anyway, for birthdays...

Hi!

We just celebrated our DD's 4th birthday at Disneyland at the beginning of the month. I ordered the cake through Disney Dining, but just called the same number as if making a priority seating. I'm not aware of a website where you can place a cake order. A cast member at Disney Dining will take all the cake order information, i.e. size, flavor, icing, decorating requests, etc. We had a dinner reservation at Storyteller's so I arranged for the cake to be delivered there. I'm not sure of all the restaurants that allow a cake to be delivered, but I would imagine any of the Disneyland Resort park and hotel sit down restaurants would, but I'm just not sure if the DTD ones would be included, especially Rain Forest Cafe since Disney Dining doesn't even make priority seating reservations there to begin with (you have to call Rain Forest directly, I believe). I would just call Disney Dining and ask a cast member what your options might be.

As for the Birthday Bucket, we also ordered this through Disney Dining, and again you can specify which restaurant you want the Birthday Bucket delivered. We had it delivered at Ariel's Grotto. Hope that helps a little.

Have fun!
Amy
