We had ressies at the Crystal Palace, which we had to cancel when we cancelled our hotel ressies--but for a good reason--we bought our travel trailer!
:woohoo: While I did piece together Thanksgiving week, we could only get Thanksgiving ressies at Portobella Yacht Club. I'm thinking of cooking myself. Does anyone else cook themselves? I figured I'd do as much as possible at home. Thanks!

Another thing you might want consider is the "almost" ready meals that grocery stores sale at that time of year. Publix usally has a good one. You just put everything in the oven for a couple of hours and then you have dinner. Kind-of makes it feel a little more like home cooking.

You can do it... we managed to cook up a great TG dinner last year whilst dry camping in Big Bend National Park. We used the turkey breast w/ gravy and baked that, and managed everything else on the stovetop/grill!

We cook at the campsite. I actually deep fry a Turkey for both Thanksgiving and Christmas. Wife buys the pre-made stuffing, mashed taters and stuff at Publix and just has to warm them up. Works out great!

Those premade mashed potatoes from Publix are great. A lot better than instant.

Colson does Thanksgiving at the fort with his parents, I believe. He has done a turkey in a roaster and will post a picture if you ask nicely. In fact, that may be an option for you - stop by his site and bring a plate and utensils.

We will be there Thanksgiving as well. We plan on cooking some turkey breasts in a crockpot. We also have a great recipe for crockpot dressing. That way we can play all day and come back to the camper and have a great dinner with the family!

We will also be there Thanksgiving. We've dined at the CP and Trail's End and both were good. The last few years we've cooked steaks and turked at the site. I think I prefer being with the family at the camp (there are 25 of us). It makes for a relaxing and enjoyable time.

I was going to say, when we get there, I'll just give you my campsite number and you can have a slice of turkey ;)

And since FtWildernessGuy asked so nicely, here is our turkey cooking last Thanksgiving at the Fort (this is a portable cooker that I bought I believe at Super Walmart or Super Target in the camping section, works absolutely great):

And I agree, the premade mashed potatoes at Publix are very good, and they have lots of different flavors. We get those for the house quite a bit (although the DW makes great mashed potatoes, so only if we're being lazy ;) ).
