How would I find a list of nearby grocery stores to VWL. We will have a rental car and I plan to hit a store on the way. How does faxing a list ahead of time work? How does groceries being delivered to your hotel work? Thanks

are you coming 417 toll to WDW - then instead of going straight at the light to WDW - you are turning left - maybe a mile (might be more) is a Publix (big one) on your left -it is in a shopping center - right pass some condo and the new HGVC.

I always go to the Winn Dixie just beyond the crossroads plaza. Easy to get to from our home (OKW), but not being an expert on the area, others may know of closer stores.

I posted a message about groceries last Sunday and got this website as a response. The service looks teriffic! You fill out your grocery list online and they will deliver to your room when you request. The charge is $20 for orders up to $100.
We never rent a car and I found this to be the best so I do not have to pack big and heavy things like packs of diapers and baby food.
We arrive on Sunday, Jan 16th and I can let you know how things turned out!

If you drive past disney on rt 4 west you'll hit rt 192 west and 5 mins down the road on the right is a new publx supermarket with great prices and selections.A large natural food section and organics a great bakery and they also serve hot food and sandwiches.if you continue down the road to rt 27 north there is a winn-dixie but I found the store a little overpriced and just didnt like the place.

We like the Winn-Dixie about a mile from Crossroads. You take Hotel Resorts Blvd, make a left at the light at 535, about a mile on the right, next to ABC Liquor. It's only a couple years old. They have a free shopper card that gives you discounts on selected items.

Does anybody know where the closest Walmart Supercenter is? My DH thinks they are the end all for cheap groceries. He won't let me shop anywhere else!

We have used WeGoShop.Com for past trips and have never been disappointed. You give them your resort and time you want things delivered and they will be at your door at that time. If there is anything on your list that they can't find, they call you to ask what substitute you would like.

We are very pleased with this service. Just click on the link.

They just opened up a new Super Target (and a not-so-new) Sams Club in Kissamee. We always shopped at Publix or Winn Dixie, but this last visit we did the majority of our groceries at Target and some at Sams. I really liked the selections and prices at Target, and the store is way nicer than the Super Walmart.

How close is the Super Target to Disney?

Closer than Super Walmart!! Probably about 5 miles, definatly worth the trip.

Just don't wait until after 7PM to get your groceries. The traffic around the Crossroads areas in horrid!!! I went out on 1/7 to get some groceries about 7PM and couldn't even get to Goodings. So I went to W-D. I hate W-D. Their prices are high - at least as high as Goodings. Over $3.50 for a gallon of 2% milk. I pay $2.89 here at home. Bananas were $.49/lb. I pay $.29/lb. I had the card, too.

There is a Wal Mart at mile marker 13 on SR192. The only problem is I live here and can find it with my eyes closed but directions are another story! If you take I4 to the Celebration exit to 192 and keep going straight for about 7 miles you will find the Wal Mart. The Winn Dixie on 535 at the Crossroads is probably closer and a lot less crowded if not slightly more expensive than the Wal Mart.

I can give Directions from DTD..

When you leave DTD, you'll take a left from the parking lot onto Lake Buena Vista drive. You'll take it until it dead-ends onto Hwy 535, take a Right onto Hwy 535. You'll take 535 until it dead-ends onto Hwy 192. You take a Left onto 192.

Once your on 192, it's a couple miles down the road, right next to medieval times.

I don't know, I've found W-D to be reasonable, especially with the card. I know a Dasani 6 pack was $2.50, Goodings was over $5.00 for the same. We got a carton of OJ for $2.00 and a liter of Sprite for 99 cents.
