Where to grocery shop on/near HHI?

Where would you recommend stopping for groceries on the way from Savannah Airport to Disney HHI? I figured someplace on the island would be easiest, but DH is sure that they'd be a lot more expensive than getting groceries on the mainland somewhere on our way. I don't mind a little more for convenience, but not a lot more. So what does everyone think? Specifically, what store would you suggest we stop at? Or is there a fairly reasonable one nearby? And since we're on the subject of groceries, any suggestions of what we might forget?

We've shopped at the Piggly Wiggly, which you will pass on your way to the resort. From what I remember, prices weren't too overly inflated. There is also a Sam's Club and Walmart right as you come onto the island.

There is a Publix, a Harris Teeter, and I believe a Food Lion within 10 minutes of the resort. All are located on 278 as you approach the resort. When living in Charlotte, we loved HT. But the one on HHI is very average. I would suggest the Publix that backs up against the Walmart on the right as you are heading to the resort. It is about 8 to 10 minutes from the resort. Can't be much more specific of the location. We know our way around there but can't really give any better directions than this. There is a SuperWalmart out near the interstate but that is over 25 miles away from the resort and depending on how you are coming up from Savannah might be out of your way. When we have gone down to Savannah from HH we do not go all the way out to the interstate. We also found the prices at Publix to be fine. Hope this helps somewhat. We are headed back to HH DVC the 18th of May and can't wait to get there.

My vote goes to the Piggly Wiggly for selection and discounts, as we used their vacation saver card.

We also have shopped at Sam's Club for things like cases of water in the summer, but you must be a member.
