I'm just wondering if there are good places or rides to experience as the crowds head to watch things like fireworks, Fantasmic!,or WOC?

Do certain areas empty out somewhat or is there no appreciable difference?

We may try seeing the fireworks one night of our trip but that leaves 3 others where I would prefer to avoid the mayhem since we've seen everything else.

Other areas are just as busy...but during F! it is a great time to ride Pirates, Haunted Mansion and Big Thunder Railroad as long as you do not get stuck in the post show exit rush.

There's not much of a difference unfortunately. I'd agree with Haunted/Pirates/Thunder being a little shorter. Toystory has been something I noticed is a shorter line during WOC as they shut down the rollercoaster, the ferris wheel, and all the lights.

BTMRR during fireworks is a great attraction. we ride it several times in a row on stand-by, I think in part because folks avoid the area. Critter Country is empty at night with no fantamic but during fireworks.

I also generally think that there really isn't a big difference in line lengths during the nighttime entertainment. The biggest thing to do is avoid trying to get into or out of the viewing areas just after the show ends (e.g., avoid trying to enter or exit Frontierland/Adventureland just after F! ends).

Ok thanks guys. I think I will also aim to avoid Tomorrowland just after as well. I really dislike getting bottle necked in there.

I've found that the entrance to Tomorrowland can jam up, but the back half (towards Space Mtn, Star Trader, Autopia, etc.) didn't seem too bad.

Well one good thing about this trip is it's just me and my hubby so we won't have to worry about getting separated from the kids. :) I would like to try Big Thunder with the fireworks going off. My dd and I had that happen once accidentally and it was a highlight of the trip.
