Hi. Can anyone suggest what park to go to (and even what part) on a rainy day? Is there somewhere where a good number of attractions are indoors or have their queues under cover? Anyplace to stay away from on a rainy day? We don't mind getting a little wet! Just thought it would be good to know in advance! Thanks! ::MinnieMo

Epcot is my favorite rainy day spot.

I just throw on my poncho and go wherever I was going to go anyway. It's kind of fun to tour in the rain - and the lines are usually shorter.

But then again, I live in Phoenix, and we run outside and dance when it rains!

AK is the least covered park. If you care about getting wet - stay away. If you want to get on rides and not wait in lines - head there.

Epcot has the most sheltered areas.

As long as it is not lightning, the parks and attractions are open. Pop on a Mickey poncho and some sandels and enjoy the parks.

Rain is one good reason to bring along a second pair of sneakers or other shoes.

We like MGM on rainy days .

But as we go in June it rains almost every day so we just go and thank the lord for the cooling off.

We all wear cloths and shoes that are good for wet weather and dry fast.

Go to any park you want or had planned, the crowds are lower because people are afraid of the rain. I love the parks on a rainy day, it's a relaxing day

If you want a park eaither MGM or Epcot are decent in the rain. However.. if it is really raining hard the water has a tendancy to stand and get very very deep. It was beyond ankle deep several times 2 years ago in August. Last year we went to DisneyQuest on a rainy day. We had so much fun. We went kind of late and had an ADR but we hated to leave. We are looking forward to going back this year.

We like hitting EPCOT on rainy days...But saying that there is not other place I would rather be on a rainy day, then in a Disney Park...

I like Main Street shops in the MK on a rainy day. They're all connected and when I'm finished one side,it's just a short dash across Main St. to the other shops.

If there is no lightning and it's warm. Just rain I like the water parks. No lines period. for some odd reason when it rains ppl leave. PPl your wet already where are ya going. Oh well thats where we like to go. When we went to blizard beach in May 2004. The place was packed. We had a hard time finding a tube on the lazy river. It rained for 15 mins. The place turned into a ghost town. I think there might have been 50 ppl there at the most. I loved it.

We just keep our plans in tact, our ponchos ready, you can take in many attractions without waiting in lines. A great time to take in those attractions that normally have a long wait.

The worst place to go on a rainy day is Disney Quest! It gets mobbed on rainy days.

I prefer the MK on a rainy day, because the buildings are fairly close together, and you can often walk under shelter. But if I'm there for several days, sometimes I just take a rest and relax day at the resort when it rains. Winter rains can be different than summer ones. In the summer, it rains just about every afternoon for about a half hour or so, and there can be really bad lightning. It's not a good idea to be outdoors when the lightning is around, especially just before and just after the storm passes. Winter rains can last all day, or even two or three days if a weather front gets stuck over Orlando. There's usually not as much lightning, unless the daytime temps run above normal. It's the heat that causes the storms to be bad, which is why we've had some doozies this year. Our temps have been on a rollercoaster ride all their own! If it's an all day winter rain, just grab your poncho and some water friendly shoes and tough it out.

We usually do this!

But, if you don't care about getting wet, my vote for you would be AK. It's the least covered park as other people have said, which means that more people will avoid that park which means less lines for you :thumbsup2
