Where to go for rope drop after Crystal Palace

We have an ADR at the Crystal Palace for 8:00 a.m. on a 9:00 a.m. park opening day. Our only child is a teenager now so we think we can probably get in and out in an hour. My question is, where do we go between finishing eating and the actual rope drop? We'll probably head to Peter Pan first thing. Thanks.

Heading to fantasy land you will be heading with the masses. I personally would head to adventure land and frontier land there will be less people that way you will get more done. If I remember right they hold you over by where skippers canteen is if you go that way

Last July we had a 8:05am ADR and we were out by 8:50am wth two little girls (3 and 5.5yo). We got a great pic in front of the castle then headed off to Tomorrowland where DH and DD5.5 did Space Mountain twice with basically no wait (we had done Fantasyland earlier in the week). This February we are going back and we only have 1 day at MK and our plan is to start at SM again then head to Fantasyland. We will probably skip Peter Pan unless we can get it as a 4th FP+ after the FoF parade. My kids aren't big fan of that ride so it's skippable.

If you want to do PP standby, then heading there first thing at RD is about the only way to avoid a long wait ( unless you want to wait until just before park close). They'll hold you at the back of the castle entrance until RD. You can then head off to the other lands and get in a couple of headliners before their lines start building.

Great, thank you all so much! We're big fans of Peter Pan so we actually have a FP for later in the day but wanted to see if we could do standby first thing as well. Thanks!

I just wanted to point out that rope drop at MK these days is right around 8:50, or even a couple of minutes earlier, so if you want to be ahead of the crowds, you won't be able to take a whole hour to eat.

Thank you! This is our 7th trip but we've never been rope drop people before so we don't know all the ins and outs. Good to know, thanks!

If you guys have any interest in riding Mine Train and can get out Crystal Palace before they let the regular people in, you should be able to get a ride on that with no wait. We did this this past Aug. and it worked great. -We then headed straight to Peter Pan with around a 5 min. wait.

How long does it normally take people to get through breakfast at CP? (Assuming minimal character interaction and pretty quick eaters - we have twin 12-year olds). I have a reservation for 8:10 on a 9am rope drop day, and don't want to miss any park time, so I'm wondering how doable that is.
