Where to go for fish and chips?

We're going in November with my mom, and we'll be doing the dining plan. We've got everything planned except for 1 table service credit, and my mom has requested that we go somewhere she can get fish and chips.

So- looks like Rose and Crown, or Raglan Road (I think Raglan Road is on the dining plan?). Anyplace else? And thoughts on these places? I haven't heard any feedback on Raglan Road yet...

I say the Rose and Crown or the quick service they have for this. There is a counter service for just the fish and chips in Epcot in "England" it's cheaper and it's the same darned fish and chips served in the restaurant! It was yummmy!

I think the counter service fish and chips would be on your dining plan, no?? Sorry, I cannot remember the name of the walk up service counter for this! Someone else will know though...but it's right there in the England section and there is a place to sit down too.

Oh and I should mention that we'll be travelling with a then 5 and an almost 3 year old.

And the main reason I'm looking at table service, is that we've pretty much scheduled everything except that last table service credit.

It's called the Yorkshire County Fish Shop, right on the World Showcase promenade. The fish and chips are pretty good.

BUT - here's an unqualified endorsement of Raglan Road, which has reached top of the charts for us. Our very favorite in Downtown Disney. DD had fish and chips there and said they were "perfect." And, yes indeedy, it's on the dining plan. Make ADRs for about 8:30 so you can enjoy that great Irish entertainment!

We saw plenty of kids there, of varying ages - if you want to keep them up late! :shamrock:

The fish and chips you get at the Rose & Crown table service is NOT the same as the ones you get at the Counter Service. At the table service, it is one big huge long piece of fish. At the counter service it is smaller pieces. It may not make a difference to some, but it did to me. The big piece of fish at the table service place had too much "fish" and not enough "coating". I like my fish and chips with a higher coating to fish ratio.

There is a picture of the fish and chips from rose and crown on the food picture thread. It is post 2423

My DD had the kids fish and chips at California Grill on one of our trips. I'm not sure if they would make it for an adult though.

Rose and crown Fish and Chips were soggy and not so great- one big piece. If you like the fish crispy I say go to the counter service here- I love the fish and chips here. My kids were able to get a hot dog nearby and my dh was able to have a yard of beer so all were happy at the CS(can't wait to go back in July)
Sorry can't help with Ragland never been.....

DD had the One and One at Ragland Road and that is the fish and chips. She said they were great. They must have been as I was unble to even sneak a bite of them!

We had an 8:30 PM ADR and completely enjoyed the music and dancing! :cool1:

Speaking as a brit, and a lover of fish and chips, the counter srvice is a lot better than the table service, they are not the same. I have never been impressed with the Rose & Crown table service.

By far the best fish and chips on Disney property is the fish at Cook County (I think it has the word county in it??) Fish Shop next door to Raglan Road at Downtown Disney. It's cooked to order, and it's the crunchiest, yummiest fish and chips that I've ever had in the states--especially all of Disney World. It's served in a neat little box and the fish fillet is a nice size. The chips are freshly fried and are rather good. There's a nice outdoor eating area complete with a bar and music right outside. Have fun-this is a must stop for hubby and I now on each visit! Worth it--I promise!
