What would you recommend? We are doing Goofy's Kitchen the night before on our arrival day. Are there any other character meals in the evening that we could go to? I am assuming that the restaurants will be closed to us in the parks since they close at 6 p.m. for the private party.

The only evening character meal offered at DLR is Goofy's. There are other nice restaurants in DTD you could go to. Rainforest Cafe, ESPN, Ralph Brenan's Jazz Kitchen, are just a few suggestions. There is also Storyteller's Cafe in the GCH.

We always eat at the Rainforest Cafe on the night we arrive.....and there is usually a short wait. Because the parks close at 6pm, I imagine DTD will be extra crowded. If you decide where to eat, call ahead for a seating time. Anyway you could change your priority seating time at Goofy's to the night the park closes early? Then you won't be fighting everyone else leaving the park at 6 for a dinner table.....
Have a great trip!

Ariel's Grotto does dinner but if the parks are closing at 6 I'm not sure they would be open.

Not a character meal, but PCH Grill at Paradise Pier Hotel has some good stuff. Well, at least we think so. Hubby had the huge veggie burger, and I've had the quesadilla appetizer (without the meat) twice now it is SO good. Just be warned, the peppers ARE hot. But the salsa is scrumptious.

DS has loved his make-your-own cheese pizza, which is wood-fired. Good stuff there, in our opinion!

So, I called and verified that I could not eat at any of the restaurants in the parks. I ended up making a reservation at Storyteller's. We have never been inside the GCH, so I thought that would be nice. I appreciate everyone's advice and suggestions!

Thanks!

We have had good luck at Storyteller's. This weekend we tried Ralph Brennan's Jazz Kitchen for the first time and it was terrific! The whole family gave it t thumbs up. Another option for you.

I always do ESPN zone on a night when I leave the park early. It is easily my favorite DTD restaurant.
