hi all:wave:
where do you get your holiday money from?
i have been looking at m&s and today it stands at 1.77 (something)at thomas cook it was down to 1.71 and they told me it has been dropping slowly:( so i am going to buy some now
but i would like to look around first::yes::

thanks eve::MinnieMo

I use www.onlinefx.co.uk and found them to be slightly cheaper than Travelex. They deliver to the door by registered delivery following day and have used them twice and found service excellent.
::yes::

Opps...by cheaper I meant slightly better rates, but only by about 0.001 of a dollar!! All adds up though!!

I'm an M&S devotee - good rates, no waiting for your order to come in & very competitive rates. An even better service if you have an &more account apparently as you can then pay for it at a later date!

hi:wave:
thank you for responding so quick::yes::

xsred,
thanks for the link just checked it out and the rate is 1.7748 just slightly less than m&s

celestine,
i too am devoted to m&s::yes::

i think i will go with m&s as they seem to have the edge when it comes to the rates and also because i can get them with my m&s card

thank you for your help eve::MinnieMo

Do you get loyalty points as well Eve???

Cheers

Karen

hi karen:wave:

i have the m&s budget card and you get one point for every £ you spend(i think)i don't really take much notice of my statement as i pay mine by direct debit

i do know that i spend too much money with it::yes::

I've always found that my local Thomas Cook branch is more than willing to match whatever rates the local banks are offering, and at 0% commission too. Might be worth having a word with them to see if they're prepared to do the same for you in your branch. Nothing ventured nothing gained as they say. I also prefer to see those dollars being counted out in front of me and then walking out the door with them clenched tightly in my happy little fist, rather than trusting to the post to get them to me, but then that's just me being my usual security-minded self!! :jester:

Night Train

It's not like an Irishman to be cynical !!!!! :hyper:

Strictly speaking I'm not Irish, but I guess we all share the same traits when it comes to our hard-earned holiday money!!:jester:

hi night-train:wave:
if i decide to go with m&s i will pick them up from the store::yes:: i too like to have my $$ in my hand rather than have them delivered:D

thanks eve::MinnieMo

Night Train,

Didn't mean to offend. I am from Belfast myself and was having a bit of "craic".

I am sure you are a very generous and trusting human being""

:teeth:

No offence taken Claddagh. I'm probably the most non-political, easiest-going, couldn't-care-less sort of bloke you could want to meet. The way I see it we're all friends with a common interest on these boards and if we can't be good-natured with each other then this is not the place to be. My main aim in life is to be able to take my family to WDW as often as possible and that makes me no different than anyone else on here. Don't worry yourself, if there's craic to be had then I'm up for it!!:teeth: :teeth: :teeth: :teeth: :jester:
