Where to get Princess Dress size XL for dd

I am having a hard time finding a Little Mermaid princess dress for dd BBB appointment in a size XL? I guess I should say a reasonably priced one! It seems like the disney store doesn't have the costumes in size XL or maybe they are just sold out? I checked ebay, but they want $$$ and i was hoping to find a cheaper one. Thanks for any suggestions!

Disney does seem to drop the ball when it comes to princess dresses for bigger little girls! I had a really hard time finding a Rapunzel dress that would fit my DD for our last trip. I ordered it from Disney Store's Web site before Halloween (they seem to carry more L/XL dresses at that time), but it was on backorder until JANUARY! Luckily our trip was in Feb., so it still worked out for us. I really wanted her to have the dress, because I knew this was probably the last trip that she would want to dress up and be in full princess mode.

So if your trip is before September (when you might find Halloween costumes at Disney stores/online), you might check etsy. That's definitely not a "budget" suggestion, but at least it would give you an option if you get desperate. Good luck!

you could try posting a want ad on craigslist. I did this looking for a Tigger costume 2 years ago and bought one for $10 shipped. (and it was in great condition). Good luck!

disney store had a park authentic in xl but it was 59.99

what abt a seamstress ?? we've had costumes made & they were really reasonable...like around $30

The new style Ariel costume is a different style, it is a dress, not tight fitting like last years. We HAVE it in the Disneystores now, I think it will go out on June 25 or 26. You could ask for it though. I was wondering if the size L would work for you in this style. The stores never get the costumes in XL anymore.

Sometimes the online store gets Princess adult costumes, and some from the last few years come up on Ebay, esp. around September. The "used" adult costumes are usually in excellent condition, they were likely only worn once. I know, I have an adult Jasmine kicking around here somewhere, never worn, DD changed her mind. (it is not for sale).
