Where can I find a lanyard (doesn't have to be "Disney" specific) that would hold my credit card/room key/index card with info??? I saw people in the parks with them but haven't been able to find them in a store.

Thanks guys!

You can DIY with a plastic sleeve from Office Depot/Staples/etc and hook it to a lanyard. I found a retractable key clip which I attach to my belt loop or strap on a bag and then stick the plastic sleeve in my pocket or bag. Makes it easier to find without worrying about losing it.

We got ours in our hotel gift shop, and you can also get them at any of the pin trading booths that sell lanyards. It is a pin trading product, but if you get the lanyard with the pouch it works great for your tickets and the zippered pouch keeps them from falling out.

I get mine from work for $1 but I've also seen them at Office Max for a minimal price. You can also buy them in packets of 10 or so if you want one for each person in the family.

I would suggest getting one that is waterproof from a sports store. That way you can use it at a water park.

I got mine at the pin shop in Frontierland at the MK. Just be aware that the plastic pouch can come off the lanyard. We were at the P&PP. We were walking toward the front of the park for the fireworks when I realized that the pouch was missing. In it were my AP, my room key (with charging privileges), and about $50 in cash. Our biggest concern was the room key and the charging privileges. We backtracked and were very fortunate to find the pouch under the bench I sat on while we waited for DD and her friend to ride Big Thunder Mountain! Thankfully the smoking area where I was keeping DH company was not crowded at all that night and no one found it before we got back. We were anticipating a trek up to City Hall where we were told a CM could assist us in cancelling the charging privileges on the room key. I'll still use the pouch next trip since it is very convenient to have some cash and my AP there for fast passes but I will not be carrying anything with charge privileges in there. And just enough cash so that if I lose it again I won't be devastated!

Most of the gift shops sell the pouches you can attach to a lanyard. They come in Tink, Mickey and Pirates design. They sell for $4.00 plus tax.

Ditto Office Max or Office Depot. Ours were basic black with a clear sleeve in front that our FPs fit perfectly into. The back had a zippered pocket that my debit card, ID and park tickets fit right in. It could shorten as neccessary, and I just tucked it into my shirt on rides if I needed to. It worked great, and they were only a dollar or so. I got 4 of them, one for me and 3 for each of my older kids.

I bought ours at National Leash Company, nationalleash.com. We bought them more for Universal than WDW, we wanted a see thru pouch so we wouldn't have to get out our FOTL every time.

We thought about making our own with the stuff from Office Depot but the lanyards online looked more heavy duty. The pouch has a Ziploc bag kind of seal on the top and the strap seemed a little more durable. The straps at Office Depot had little plastic snaps holding it together, I was concerned abouth the snaps coming unsnapped and losing the lanyard on a ride.

I bought mine at Claires for a whopping $3. Sturdy cloth (i.e. not satiny as that will stain and fray) and wide enough to hold pins (all the supply stores I went to only had the more rope like lanyard :confused3 ). I bought a pack of plastic ID holders for about $1.20 at Walmart. Wish they had had smaller count packages, but oh well, now I've got some back-ups ;)

we got a plastic lanyard at walmart where the luggage is sold for about $4.00 it is clean plastic and we put my sons GAP in it ( autistic ) and a card with our cell phone numbers in it in case he wanders off.then he can put his pins for trading on the straps also :) i saw them at the disney stores also with 2 pins already attached for trading for around $20

We bought some retractable fastpass holder with a belt clip that looks like mickey ears and a clear pouch attached to it. I think it's around $6.95 each. It works great in the parks (the pouch has a zipper top) and I switched out the clear pouch when I got home and used the belt clip with my office ID pass. :thumbsup2
