where to get "guest of honor" badge for the kids?

You could order them in advance through www.Giftsofalifetime.com I think.........someone correct me if I'm wrong. We got ours at a store in Downtown Disney, I think they were $5 or $6.00 there.

Disney's Days of Christmas is the store in DD that has the badges, in the back room...They're red, with white lettering, oval shaped...They have both ones with names already on them (I paid $5 last Nov.), and blank ones that they will engrave.......I've heard that they're now charging extra for engraving ...... ???

Celebrity 5&10 at MGM also has the guest of honor badges. They will also engrave.

I got mine on ebay, the per badge price was more, but the shipping was less, than gifts of a lifetime. The woman went into the parks and had my children's names engraved for me. I decided it was worth the $$ to either put them in Easter baskets or "present" them as we enter a park the first day.

I've read (here maybe) that you can also order them through Disney's mail-order merchandise service. This is the info posted over on the Theme Parks Attractions and Strategies board:

What is the point of these badges? Are the kids treated more special by CM's? I never heard of them. Thank you..

Nothing special other then CM's can call you by name and it may get you a little extra Magic from CM's. Just a great keepsake and the characters would sign DD's autograph book to her instead of just signing it. The most fun part though was all the guests coming up to you and asking you questions, because they look almost like a CM name tag.
