Where to get cutomised T-shirts

ok, now i know i use to laugh and make fun of famlies that all had the same shirts on but guess what...now i want it. i am cutting it close here..(i think) little ove a month anyone know where i can ge custom shirts??

I've bought stuff from cafepress (other people's designs, not my own) but they were WELL MADE. I liked the shirts a lot.

Shame on you for mocking matching (Yeah I've always 'wondered' about it until I had kids..Noooow I seeeeee)

if you go to the creative DISboards (at the bottom of the community board), there are designers that make wonderful graphics, that you can iron onto shirts.

I bought some on ebay for our upcoming trip. They are personalized. Pretty cute. You can do a search on ebay for Disneyland shirts or seller sibling_t.

I do it the hard way because I'm a part time waitress & a full time student
and cannot afford the price per shirt since my family is huge. I bought
adults men's shirts from a thrift store. They charged like $25 for 7. Then I
made my own stencil from computer paper printed out and used spray
adhesive to get the stencil to stay on the shirt. Then I painted 'em with acrylic.

It wasn't as hard to do skillfully as they were time consuming. But they saved
on money.

Try etsy.com. It is kind of like eBay but all "Buy It Now" and all handmade items. I have found lots of cute things for our trip.

I made these Mickey Head swirl shirts in 2 days for our family to wear at DL last month. We had a lot of compliments on them and they were very easy to do. I bought the plain t shirts from www.jiffyshirts.com for about 2 dollars each.

Making them yourself is always an option. For a school dance I wanted to be in Incredible but I had no idea where to find a shirt in such a short amount of time. So I bought a red T-shirt from a local craft store, got print out-sticker fabric press ons from the same store, and printed off the Incredibles logo from the internet onto the fabric press on. Then you just cut it out and stick it on the shirt where you want! It worked remarkably well. Iron-ons are an even higher quality choice if you have some time on your hands.

I would also highly reccomend the mickey mouse swirl heads that mrsheppo posted. They are very easy to do, and a bottle of the fabric dye can make 6 shirts or more, depending on how dark you make the design. Check for sales on the fabric dyes at your local craft store. I would reccomend using the Elmers school glue method, as it's slightly easier. I just put the cardboard in the t shirt to seperate the layers, made the design in glue (use bowls, and use chalk to mark your design). Let the glue dry, then spray your design. Once it's dry, throw it in the washer with some vinegar to help set the design. It may take a couple of washes to get the glue out, but when you are done, you have a greyt t shirt design that you made yourself. I'm not inclined to make t shirts , but even the most uncreative person can make these, and they will still come out great. Highly reccommended!!

I second the pp about the DISsigns section of this board. The designers are really great, they make the designs for free and are extremely helpful. We have a great design now for our family vacation in Dec. courtesy of a DIS board member. Now I just have to get shirts, and iron the design on. Couldn't be easier and won't take long at all.

I was at the Disney Store yesterday and they had shirts on sale for 2.99!!!

I also found shirts on ebay - that's the only place I could find matching shirts in different sizes for our group of 7.

The Creative DISign section of this board is AWESOME! There are a ton of designs you can browse through and have customized or you can even think something up and request it of one of these nice people. The designs are free, you can get any color and size t-shirt online for about $3, and $1 per page of transfer paper and you have an amazing customized t-shirt. I'm addicted--can't you tell? I made 7 shirts each for 4 kids and 2 shirts each for 6 adults on our last trip. It was so cute and fun!

The name of the thread is: Looking for the Family Fun Mickey Head Design.
I couldn't believe how easy it was to do, and had to give it a try. The more dye you use, the darker the t shirt will be. I used royal blue Tulip Cool Color Spray, and the Clover green fabric dye. They are very easy to do. After you spray it, let it dry for a day or two to let the dye settle in to the fabric. It took me a couple of days to finish 4 shirts, then also put "Grumpy's wife" on a t shirt I bought myself for our trip in Feb/09 to DL. That also turned very well, and was very pleased with how it turned out. 1 bottle of dye will make about 6 t shirts or more if you make the t shirts lighter. I used the green for the middle of the shirts and put the blue around it, and they look great. The Elmers glue works better than the flour/water mixture, as I just put them in the wash with some detergent and vinegar (the vinegar helps set the design). It took a couple of washes to get all the glue out, but I didn't have to pick off all the glue. The glue on the t shirt will stick to the back of the cardboard used to separate the layers of the t shirt, but all I did was take off as much as I could, then on the second wash turned the shirt inside out, to get the remainder of the glue washed out. Hope this helps you out, and as I completed my t shirts last week, I can tell you that it's very easy to do, and you have a one of a kind t shirt for the trip. Have a great day!!
