Where to get a Monte Cristo sandwich?

My favorite place to get a Monte Cristo is in the Blue Bayoo resturant in the Pirates of the Caribbean ride. VERY good.

Unfortunately this only exists in Disneyland.

If you read my original post you will see that's where I said I had one, at the Blue Bayou, and was looking for one at Disneyworld.

They really should put one on a menu somewhere. They are so popular at Blue Bayou, I'm sure they'd do well at Disneyworld as well! Thanks for everyones help, now I won't get my hopes up. I think I'm gonna start a new thread asking about people's favorite food that's special to Disneyworld, like the Monte Cristo is at Disneyland.

Just off property, you can get a decent Monte Cristo at Jungle Jims (in Crossroads plaza, near Gooding's). They also do a "PB & J" Monte Cristo, tho I have never tried that one.

Speaking of variations, for a while Bennigna's was doing a panini version--no battering or deep frying, just pressed. Pretty good, and a lot lighter.

In May of 1974 I visited WDW for the first time with my college friends. I had a monte cristo sandwich at (I think) the Crystal Palace. And it was the deep fried kind, no powder or currants or jelly or anything else. THE best sandwich I ever had in my life. We could only afford one meal that day and I was so glad that was my choice. I was just thinking about it the other day and had to smile when I saw the thread.
