Where to get a funnel cake & other good snacks??

I don't think I've ever seen funnel cakes at DL. For sweet treats, I like the giant rice krispie treats (Main Street Bakery or candy store in Critter Country). At DCA they have really good shakes (try the date shake!) near It's Tough to be a Bug.

I think I remember eating a funnel cake at the Hungry Bear restaurant in DL... not sure if they still have them though, it's been a year since I was there last.

Yes, there are funnel cakes at the Hungry Bear in Critter Country.

There are Dole Whips near the Tiki Room

There are carts that sell:
Assorted ice cream
churros
popcorn
hot chocolate
frozen lemonade

There is a candy store in Critter Country near the Winnie the Pooh ride and one on Main Street. They have lots of good treat:
fudge
Tigger Tails
Cookies
Rice Crispie Treats
Tons of other types of treats

Then there's a bakery on Main Street. It has cinnamon rolls, cookies, muffins and scones I think.

Last summer I saw them selling funnel cakes at either the Golden Horseshoe or right next to it. Also, if you are looking for something sweet, make sure you visit Pooh's corner. Don't forget about the Churros. Disneyland is never disneyland without a Churro or two. ;)

They also sell funnel cakes at the little coffee place that sells Mint Juleps behind the French Market cafe. They are yummy! They also have little coffee cake type snacks, and there never seems to be a long line!

Can't remember the name, but it is next to the Goldenhorse. I was not there, but to DGF had to have one.

Are the funnel cakes real greasey? The last time I had one it was gross. Never had one @ DL.

And if you're making the trip to SeaWorld, they have a funnel cake with ice cream, strawberries, powdered sugar, and whipped cream on top. To die for!

I have to stay away from that general vicinity whenever I go, because the smell is too enticing!

I made beignets for the family this AM and there were no leftovers. Did both the powdered sugar and cinnimon and sugar. I do not eat the stuff but everyone looked very happy.

yes they do sell funnel cakes at the mint juelp stand... with your choice of toppings

My favorite treats are the churros, Mickey bars, Street Car Sundae's, Dole Whips, and the cinnamon rolls at the bakery on main street (some of the best I've ever had).

For the record, the Mint Julep bar and the French Market share a kitchen. My DW wanted a funnel cake, and the MJ Bar was closed. I just happened to as in the FM where I could get a funnel cake and they told us they could make it there!

I saw the Holiday Funnel Cake at Tomorrowland Terrace.. I don't know if they have normal funnel cake during non-Christmas time though..

My favorite snacks on our February 2006 trip was the chocolate chip cookie ice cream sandwiches from the carts. They were delicious! :cloud9:

What is the date shake?? I am a shake kind of girl, is that the name of the place or is that a certain type of shake and what is in it.:goodvibes

I saw funnel cakes at the Farmer's Market (the one near PT Flea Market).

Question: where can a Mickey bar be bought with a card? I only saw them at outdoor vendors with no connection for cards...

Royal Street Veranda has the "fritters with dipping sauce". It's an apple custard dip, and is really creamy. The fritters are just balls of fried dough with sugar on them...I like 'em. But the Mickey shaped beignets at Cafe Orleans are quite delicious, and they have two sauces (a berry coulis? and creme anglaise, which I've heard described as the same as melted ice cream, by Emeril, LOL). I can't recommend the beignets at Ralph Brennan's quick-snack area, bleah.

Everyone will talk about the dole whip outside the Tiki Room, but I think they taste like melted plastic with some pineapple flavoring (and if you look at the ingredient list, I'm not that far off!). Not my thang.

You know what? I think for a snacky sort of dessert-ish thing...the chocolate chip cookies found at the only outdoor cart that takes cards, to the left of the castle, are the BEST. They are big but not enormous, they are good, they made me quite happy to eat with my latte.
