Last year at Toys r us I saw a tinkerbell costume that had little wings that were attached to the dress and just kind of fluttered about when you moved-they had no wire in them. This year we are going to the Halloween party and I would like to find a costume for my 5 yr dd like that. Has anyone seen one like this anywhere this year.We have the one from the disney store with the big wings and she won't wear it without the wings for the party.

The Disney Store and Costco had Tinkerbell by Disney, that maybe the one you have. Marshalls Store is having a Halloween event right now, they did have a Tinkerbell costume, but I'm not sure who it was made by. Did you by chance pop into Toysrus to see if they offer the costume again this year?
Another thought is to go to a fabric store and try to duplicate the wings on last years costume. Good luck. :)

WalMart has something like that - wings and all - for about $20. Of course there is that little shop on Main Street that has the totally swank ones for about 3x as much...

Target has them in a boxed set that includes a halo and a wand and little slippers. There is no wire in the wings.... it is very cute and easy to wear. My DD4 loves it. I think the set is $20.

A halo? Tink definitely does not have a halo! :rotfl:

When I bought DD's about 2 years ago, the infant sizes had the soft tulle wings. I remember the toddler and girls sizes had wired wings. But it has been a while!

There was a tinkerbell featured on the cover of costume express (they have a website) this month. I'm not sure if the wings are what you wanted, I just thought it was cute, and I'm pretty sure there is no way my sons would let me dress them up as tinkerbell.

:rotfl: Ok, so not thinking...right....Tink....halo.... :rotfl:
but the set comes with a round doo-hickey thing that has her little picture emblem on it with ribbons wrapped around it that girls wear on ther heads...didn't know what else to call it!

It must be a hair scrunchie, to go around the bun in a Tinkish hairdo? Or if it's for the little ones, one of those bow-things people put on bald baby girls...

Anyways, it was my daughter reading over my shoulder who pointed out that Tink would never be found with a halo, that's for sure! We love the fact that she's a bit naughty :cool1:

I think that is why my DDs love Tink...because their personalities are a little bit impish!
The headpiece isn't a scrunchie or a headband. It is a round ring (hard) that is wrapped in lavendar and light green ribbon with a Tink plastic picture (like you see attached to princess dresses in Target, etc.). You would wear it like a crown I guess. Hey, I don't design these things, just buy them along with the dress up set! I must say, DD doesn't use it, but loves the dress up Tink outfit.
Just when you think you have all the dress up stuff....they come out with more and more adorable stuff. We just need to stay out of the stores!
But...gotta love Tinkerbell! :)

Thanks for all the suggestions-after spending the weekend searching some more for one I found the ballerina tink that i had seen online( but was not sure about the wings from the picture)in a toddler size which was too small but I got to see how the wings were so I ordered it online in the childs size.It is really cute in my opinion and my dd who is 5 loved it too.The wings have a small piece of plastic that is only on the top to give it structure but the rest is pretty soft and the are much smaller than the ones you put around their arms. Also the are attached with a piece of velcro so if necessary i can remove them during the party and not have to lug around huge wings all night! Thanks again and wish us luck -mnsshp 9/29

I think "impish" does not carry a negative connotation... (IMO!)
I think girls who have an impish quality have traits that will serve them well in life!!! ;) Hence, we love Tink!

Go to the Google search and type in child TInkerbell costume. There are a few places that are the main sites that you will find I can't remember which one it was but there was one of the main sites that pops up had a tinkerbell costume that is a little different than you are looking for but it dosen't have the wire wings. It had inflatable soft wings.I found it because my DD is going to be tinkerbell this year at MNSSHP. We thought these would be safe, soft easily wearable and very easy to pack versus the regular wings or the wire ones because you can't fold them without bending them out of shape..Good luck hope this may help you. I know I went thru a million local store and Halloween speciality shops and online store before I founf what we were looking for..... :tinker: :hmghost: :maleficen
