Where to find real coffee?

Kona Cafe at the Poly has awesome coffee. The Writer's Stop at MGM makes some good coffee too. Oddly, our favorite coffee thusfar was at Maya Grill at CSR.....it was Italian pressed coffee that was heaven in a cup. Maggie

subbing for BF who is a coffee nut!!! He sucked it up and drank what he was given last time we were there...there was a place in Epot (a little cart) that he was able to order a red eye (1 shot espresso the rest house coffee--he acutally takes anywhere betwee 1 and 3 sometimes 4 shots espresso..the rest house....)

They were a little confused with his order but they figured it out...

I quickly scanned all the posts so forgive me if this has already been said.
Disney did away with the "liquid coffee syrup" a couple of years ago. It is still by Nescafe but it now real coffee.

The way the cast members told us about it when we were staying at AKL just after Charlie hit. Several bigwigs from Disney stayed there that week while checking out the damage. The first morning they were served the regular "coffee". They liked it just as much as I did :thumbsup2
They right then demanded real coffee pots and coffee in the restaurants at AKL. They called Nescafe and said either provide real coffee or lose your contract.
By the time I went back in Feb. everywhere I asked - at counter service, All Stars, everywhere I wanted coffee - I was told that ground coffee was now used all over WDW.
The coffee was of course not up to Starbucks but it was at least drinkable.

All the Moderate resorts now have coffee pots in the rooms and I still take my own coffee. Just a reminder - take filters too. The value resorts don't have coffee pots available.

Thanks for all the great replies!! Dad can bring his own Starbucks ground coffee, his own filters, and make decent coffee whenever he wants. FWIW, though, I'll never convince him that Nescafe is "real" coffee... he worked for Nestle for waaaaaayyy too many years, and you would be surprised how even Nestle refers to Nescafe behind closed doors. lol

I just had an even better idea... maybe I won't tell him about the new in-room coffeemakers, and bring some filters and Starbucks coffee to surprise him!
