How do you all find such cheap plane tickets? DH just sprung on me that he wants to go to WDW THIS Feb. (we decided after going to years in a row to go every other year...) and wants me to find plane tickets (well, he wants to drive....I want to find plane tickets :rotfl: ). We can fly out of Portland, ME; Manchester, or Boston, but I can't find any budget tickets for Pres. week...

How do you all find good prices???

I tend to go to bookingbuddy.com. You type in your travel information once and then it lets you browse all of the travel and airline sites without having to give any more information. Sometimes the travel sites have better pricing, sometimes the airlines themselves do. You really have to research it to find the best prices.

I use travelocity.com to browse all the airlines, times & prices, and then go right to the airline website directly to book, it's often cheaper. With the airlines grounding so many flights because of cost lately, it's getting harder & harder to find availability, let alone a good price. I never paid more than $225 Rt from PA to Orlando, and for this December I can barely find a flight that still has seats left, and for under $350 RT. :headache: President's Week may very well be sold out already.

When I am trying to get tickets, I look at the airlines web sites daily, sometimes multiple times a day. I got tickets for our April 2009 trip from Boston to Orlando for 209 per person. They had been 800 or so per person and then one day they were just cheap. They have since gone up to 500 or so. The airlines are constantly changing the prices and you just need to be ready when the price is right.

Travelocity and Expedia don't show all avaiable airlines (I believe Southwest is one that they don't show). So be sure to use a site that allows you to view all airlines or go directly to the sites of airlines it doesn't show.

Southwest will be releasing their February rates on Aug 21 (subject to change). I usually find the best rates on release day (or soon after).

Jet Blue doesn't seem to have Feb dates either yet. I have only flown them once, but loved them.
