I'm heading down to DL in a week, and have my heart set on picking up a CD or two of park music. Fantasmic, fireworks, ride sounds, theme music, anything DL! When I was there last Oct, I didn't see anything like this, but I know it must be in the parks somewhere! Any DISers with inside info?? :worship:

I'm sure you will find some in the park but not sure where. Amazon has quite a few available and Ebay has some of the out of print versions.

Check the Disney Gallery (on the right side of Main St, just after you go under the train tracks). I know I have seen CDs there, but never looked at the play lists on them. I remember there is at least one that looks like it had park songs on it. Hope this helps!

We got one at Disneyland last year - it was a 2-CD pack that had all the soundtracks to all the rides, the parades, even the soundtrack that plays as you ride the DL Railroad. I don't remember what it was called, but I'm sure you must still be able to get it. It was available in a few stores along main st, and probably the Disney Store in DTD too. good luck!

I bought mine where the Magic shop used to be, I believe or its near that general area. I believe I also saw them at World of Disney dtd.

In december i noticed music cd's for sale at the Emporium and the music shop on Main street, off the page in California adventure and at the disney store in downtown disney.

I can't remember the name of the shop but it is on the right hand side of Main Street as you are facing the castle right past the magic shop. It has a lot of books and collectibles. I'm pretty sure I've seen something there. You can always call Disney and ask to be transfered to the Emporium and a CM will help you ;o)

I'll have to check these stores out on our trip. I was on the hunt for DL songs, recently, myself. I only checked iTunes, and was only able to find the Disney Classics albums.

Thanks for all the quick replys! I know in Oct, whenever I saw CDs for sale I would rush over, only to be disappointed by Disney Channel or song compilation CDs I could buy on iTunes! However, this time I will be more vigilant, and will definitely check out the Disney Gallery and that little collectibles shop on Main St.

That would be perfect, just what I'm looking for! You give me hope lol!

I looked in the DTD store while we were there in Oct, and I didn't find the employees to be very helpful (or maybe they didn't understand what I was looking for) They showed me the CD section, but there was no park music. I do have the WDW version and I am sure a lot of the songs are the same, but I want a DL version, too! I will check the amazon link- thank you!

Thanks for the Amazon link sophies*mom! That CD looks fantastic! If I don't find what I'm looking for at the parks, I will be ordering it for sure! :) And I will make sure to report my findings here when I get back!

No problem! Most people roll their eyes at me when they see that I own it :rotfl:

I did buy the Fantasmic! soundtrack at one of the stores at the very beginning of Main St. (on the right side), I just can't remember which one. It was a few years ago, though. It also had the soundtrack to the Electrical Parade on it, too. Sadly, I lost it :sad2:. I'll have to check to see if I can buy it again on our next trip. That was a great one, too!

Well, I'm back! It was a successful trip on the CD front! It wasn't too hard to track down the 2 CD Disneyland park music set, which retails for $24.98+tax. I ended up buying it at Off the Page in DCA. I also found a Fantasmic! CD, which included both the DL and WDW versions for around $18. All in all, a good musical haul! :D

Unfortunately I've ound that the music store on main street doesn't have much music in it anymore especially the music book section. I'm a music teacher and have been extremely disappointed in that store our last few visits.

Anyways here are some things I purchased on itunes that have park music on it:
A Musical History of Disneyland - 50th Anniversary
Classic Disney: 60 years of Musical Magic

there are some other great albums with Disney music but not necessarily park music and those are:
Disneymania (Several Volumes I think 6 total)
Disney Greatest Hits (Several Volumes, I think there are 4 total)
Disney Wishes!
Ultimate Disney (Several Volumes I think 3 total)

Then there are of course 3 VOlumes of Disney Karaoke music which is always fun.

I hope that helps!
