sorry, i dont know what bored this should be on, so feel free to move it. I need to find an inexpensive white tank top/cami for characters to sign...i cant find one anywhere, and our trip is only 4 days away...help please!

Have you tried a craft store - Michael's, AC Moore, Rag Shop? Or what about the lingerie department in most stores.

Earlier this week Old Navy had wifebeaters 3 for $15 and they did have white.

I've also seen some reasonably priced ones at Target, Wal-mart and Kohl's lately.

I've NEVER heard them called that and I'm glad, since I *was* a beaten wife for 4 years. Please reconsider what you call an innocent tank top and how it might make people feel (not trying to be PC, just asking for some sensitivity. I have to type pretty much everything now b/c my ex essentially crippled my hands twisting them) :(

I thought the term 'wifebeaters' referred to the cheap, scuzzy looking white tanktop-style men's undershirts?

Just FYI I'm pretty sure the characters won't sign a shirt while you're actually wearing it.

Wifebeaters are the cheap white men's undershirts. They and their name have made a come back do to rappers both wearing them and putting them in the lyrics of their songs.

They have really cute ones at the Limited for $19. They're more feminine in cut, and you can get them with an underwire if that's more comfortable for you.

Just an FYI ... characters will NOT sign a t-shirt if the person is wearing it. Period. No exceptions.

If you want character signatures on your t-shirt, you need to bring it along seperately and use it in place of an autograph book.

I think it would be cute if you got the flag one from old navy. It would have the year on it, which would be good for a souvenier (sp)

I have heard of them called that for years, when they came back into style about 7 years ago..I cringe every time I hear the name. It IS a horrible name for an innocent tank top. Actually, I think the term came from them being like the one that Marlon Brando wore in Street Car Named Desire. (He was a wife beater in that.) They are those thin ribbed "Hanes" type mens undershirts...They are quite thin, so if you are modest at all, you would want to find something else if you are going to wear it later.

So sorry about your hands and your evil ex. Just remember, what goes around comes around..he'll get his...

I was also going to add that the characters will not sign any shirt on a person's body. Like WD Searcher said, bring it along with you, and probably will need a book or something hard to put underneath it while the character is signing it..
