Where to find detailed park maps?

Does anyone know if there are detailed park maps that show different shops, snack shops/counter service food and bathrooms? I'd like to be prepared for our park days. I don't want to be scrambling around the park when my kids need to go to the bathroom, need a quick snack/meal or we just want to duck into a store for a little while.

Pick one up each morning as you enter the park....not only does it show all that you want it will give you a listing of the shows/parades, etc that are going on.

If you're wanting one to use for planning (hmmm...wait planning bathroom stops might be even more obsessive than I am ), or just to have a super cool map that is beautiful enough to frame....go to the WDW website and create a custom map. You can only do this once every 6 months (per address), so it might be best to be pretty sure of your plans before you order. I haven't done mine yet, but I've seen a friend's. I'm thinking of doing one AFTER we come back with a list of what we actually saw.....framing it will be a beautiful wall art AND a memory of our trip.

Sadly it's because I have unwilling potty trainers and I'm not sure what their potty status will be during our trip. Reading a little on the parks boards got me worried about getting our kids to the bathroom frequently. It was discussed how people will not let you back in line if you leave for a minute to take a young child to the bathroom. I don't want to be a "line cutter" and cause an uproar. We are going to start working on our daily plans (so we can figure out ADR's) and I figured it best to have a handle on the bathroom locations.

I see you have triplets (I have twins).....we never did Disney when the girls were potty training, but we did take two rather long car trips, where bathrooms can be "15 miles ahead". I relunctantly put them into pull ups.....for my sanity, for my car seats' safety, and so the girls didn't have to be wet for 15 miles. My girls are 11 now..."back then" the pulls up were definitely not diaper looking, and the girls liked the characters on them....but the ones "now a days" that my neice is wearing look a lot more like big kid undies than pulls up back then. I never told my girls that they weren't "big girl panties" so they still would ask to go and if we couldn't I'd tell them to hold it.....the few times we did have accidents, I made sure the realized it was not their fault, it was because the restroom was so far away. When we got to our destination and changed into regular panties, they never seemed to notice the difference so there was no set back in the training.

Maybe it would work best to use those only in the park, and then work on the potty training again when you get home. It sounds to me like everyone would have a better time! Of course, each time you walk past one, it's best to "try". Makes for a very long trip though!

I don't know when you're going, but keep in mind that just finding a bathroom doesn't mean you get a stall right away....even during the not so busy time of year the bathroom wait can be a few people long.....fine for me, but a hopping up and down kid can't always wait that long.

Now me....knowing the fun of potty training more than one....I'd hold your place in line for you....and I'd waive "hoppy" past me in line at the toilets....but I don't think you'll have much luck finding a lot of other people feeling that way. Some of those lines are also not exactly "step out" easy to get out of either!

We did the same, put the kids in pull ups 'just in case' And I agree, lines at Disney aren't easy to step out of for a minute (and if you can get your kids to the bathroom and back in a minute, you are doing well).

One of the keys to this is line management - go at opening and get Dumbo in first. Use Fastpasses for anything that you can.

I wouldn't worry too much about shops and counter service places - after a dozen or so trips, I still can't keep the shops and counter service places straight in my head - they are pretty much ever six feet and to a certain extent they are interchangable. Bathrooms - those are worth knowing where they are.

I'd recommend a guidebook that will have good maps with bathrooms on it. I really like the Passporter. You can probably search something up on the internet that actually has bathrooms. But a guidebook will be useful for a lot of stuff.
