where to find cheap mittens??

I'm doing a craft at work for 5th and 6th graders. I'm going to make little winter/parker coat people out of mittens (a craft I saw on FamilyFun site). I usually buy the stuff so I'm looking for cheap.
I saw AC Moore had gloves for a $1 but I need mittens.

Anyone know where I can look?

Target $1 bin had them for little kids.

I got a 2-pack of mittens at Target for $1.50. They had a purple & purple/grey stripe, pink & pink/dark pink stripe and another color (can't remember the one other one.) They are in the women's handbag area on an endcap with some other inexpensive winter stuff.

And as mentioned above, they had little kid mittens in their Dollar Spot as well (I think they had seasonal prints & colors?)
