Hi everyone! After seeing The Princess and the Frog recently, my dd has got it into her head that she wants to try some beniets!:lovestruc I said maybe they will have some in WDW, but does anyone know if they do? I did a few searches but could not find anything definite, sorry if its a silly question:confused3

Hi!
Just to let you know, they are spelled Beignet.

According to allears menu page, you can get them at Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory at Port Orleans Resort. They are listed as desserts on the breakfast and lunch/dinner menu. The last update on the menu was October of 2008, hopefully someone else can tell you if they still have them. :)

Edited to add: there are no silly questions!

They're only at Port Orleans French Quarter-but they are a staple there so you can find them every day, all day!

Hi! Only at POFQ can you find beignets. (pronounce ben-yays). Crazy, but they're one of the reasons we keep on going back there. ;) If you're on a dining plan, you can get 3 for a snack credit, more than enough to share, or you can get 3 as your dessert with a CS meal. Just be careful not to inhale the mounds of powdered sugar.

I went to New Orleans last year and had some beignets every day of my trip they were so yummy. Now I am trying to figure some time in plans to get to the French Quarter on our Disney Trip. I would love DS's and DH to try them since they have heard me talk about them so much.
Do they have hickory coffee too by any chance?

POFQ in the food court....we stayed there last year and MMMMM were they good!!! It's definitly worth a bus trip over to that resort IMHO

The New Orleans style coffee is chicory, not hickory. :goodvibes

I don't think they have that at POFQ - just the regular old average (or worse) Disney coffee!

Nope, no chickory, unfortunately all they have is that godawful Nescafe glop. We bring our own coffee to use in the coffee maker in the room, you can buy Community Dark Roast with chickory online if you can't find it where you live. I recommend cajungrocer.com

We are staying in POFQ in March and I am very excited about trying the beignets :goodvibes.

Just returned from POFQ yesterday and was excited to try the beignets. I can't begin to tell you how dissapointing they were. I would love for someone from New Orleans to tell me how authentic they are because I would take funnel cake or italian zeppole anyday over those beignets.

I've had beignets in N.O. and while POFQ's don't really compare to Cafe Du Monde in N.O., I think they are really very good. Did you have the freshly made? To me, that makes a huge difference - I wouldn't take any out of the case when we were there, but waited for them to make a new batch.

We stayed at POFQ - I guess about 5 or so years ago .......... anyway - back then they were AWFUL!!! Being from LA - I thought I'd try them............ IICCKKK - NOT at all like here at home!

If you are up to it......... make them at home!!!

Cafe Du Monde has some mix you can order online - you can also buy some chicory coffee as well. :goodvibes

Don't expect the beignets at WDW to be as good as what you found in NOLA. They are good, but not up to Cafe duMonde standards.

ITA. We went to POFQ just to get these and I was so disappointed. Now I get my biegnet fix at Bouchon in Las Vegas.

The beignets at POFQ are nothing like the ones in New Orleans they
were made to thick and were tough (I saw the cook make them fresh for me but they didn't roll them out as thin as N.O. beignets).
I grew up in Louisiana and visit yearly and eat them as much as I can while visiting. I also did a search for an authentic New Orleans recipe and have made them at home with great success--they are not hard to make at all.
We really enjoy them for special occations.
