My husband, daughter (will be four) and I are planning on staying at the Poly next September. I'm up in the air about where to eat dinner after leaving Animal Kindom. Right now I'm looking at The Wave at the Contemporary, The Grand Floridian Cafe, or Planet Hollywood in Downtown Disney. Any other suggestions? We are not very adventurous eaters.

You will be happy with either Grand Floridian Cafe or the Wave; both are wonderful.

On your AK day, you really aren't tied down to anything since the park closes relatively early. This is the day that you can branch out and go wherever you want. Of the places you listed, I would take PH off the list. Nothing "Disney" about it. Wave and GFC will do just fine. Or hop on a boat over to Wilderness Lodge and try Whispering Canyon.

If you are not on dining plan, try T Rex at Downtown Disney.. That is if your 4 yr old is not easily scared. Moving dinos and funky lighting inside. but the food is good. Basic burgers, chicken, etc...and you can't beat the atmosphere!

If you're on the dining plan, and you're sticking to monorail places...then my choice is grand Floridian cafe... The Wave is good, but it's alittle more adventurous. Hence, popcorn flavored gelato, ice cream, whatever it was...
The steaks are good, but small. IMO.

What about Ohana or Chef Mickeys at CR? I am a picky eater and really loved Ohana and Chef Mickeys is a buffet that has a little bit of everything! :thumbsup2

I think you've sold me on Whispering Canyon Cafe. This was a place we really wanted to try, but thought we should save for another trip. If we time it right, we should be on a boat around sunset heading back to our hotel :goodvibes
