Newbie to SW, going in December with a party of 11. Where should we eat lunch?

Subscribing. Another newbie to SW. Same Question! Also, how is the Malihiki Luau at Seafire Inn? We're going in January.

We've been to many theme parks and SW has some of the most expensive food of any park we've attended. They don't even offer any good soda deals like Universal does.

I would also appreciate some direction on food choices at SW. I have looked at the website and it all sounds ok, but I know that there has to be someone out there to tell us what restaurants are better than others. Anyone? Maggie

Seriously...hasn't anyone eaten at SW that can offer some advice to the clueless?:confused3

We've only been to the bar-b que place. It was good. Definately enough for two to share. The chocolate cake is tasty.

I never ate at the Hospitality house, but the sandwiches are huge and close to the free beer.

If you buy the souvenir (sp?) drink cup, refills are ~$1.

I go there alot and i have only ate their once. The place we ate at was Captains Petes Island eats. They have chicken and fries. It was good wasnt too expensive. $6 or something like that. Its right by the Stingrays.

Free beer?:woohoo:

Where, exactly?

free beer is over in the anheiser(sp?) section. They have beer school. We did it many years ago, you get to taste some new things, and traditional things. Plus, you can get one sample and the hospitality place. They do ID.

Its in the same area where the big horses are.

Both times we've been to Sea World we haven't been that impressed with the restaraunts on site. The pay as you go restaraunt on the waterfront was decent but the only thing that I can say was great for food was the Dine with Shamu, well worth the money spent.

I'm starting to think I should pack a lunch.

Here's a link to a post I responded to about the Hospitality House (with food pictures):

And one where I responded about Shark's Undewater Grill (with food pictures):

I was very pleased with both places.

Just wanted to add: When we went in June, you were given *2* free glasses of beer per person. This is in addition to the 4 or 5 samples you get if you attend the beer tasting class (free).

Thanks for all the info guys!

In my opinion Busch parks have better food overall than the other Central Floridan parks.Over at Sea World I suggest Mango Joe's for some good fajitas, the Smoky creek BBQ place, the Seafire inn has some good specialty burgers. One time I ate at the Voyager's pizza place,I think it was in summer and after 6pm and they had an all you can eat pizza, ceasar salad and dessert deal for like $9-$10.

I did the Luau once and it was good, the food is served family style and is good quality. They have the show inside the Seafire Inn in a room behind the restaurant.

Our family fave is the Smoky Creek BBQ - large portions. We usually split a couple of combos. I also like the Seafire Inn for a change to the regular fast food fare :thumbsup2

We have eaten at Seaworld many times and we think that the food there is very good. Unfortunately, I can't remember the names of the counter service locations that we ate at, but we did enjoy them all. There is one near the Wild Artic / Shamu Stadium that sells southwestern wraps and fajitas, which was excellent.

If it is a sitdown restaurant that you seek, Shark's Underwater Grill (I think that's what its called) is excellent. Similar to the Coral Reef restaurant at Epcot with views of the Shark tanks and excellent food!

I would not hesitate to try the food anywhere at Seaworld.

I think Voyager's Wood Fired Pizza was where we ate....I remember it had alot of offerings: pizza, salads, burgers, etc. I do remember it was terribly expensive as we noticed with all the food and drink at SW. Between my wife and I, came to I think around $40. That was with 2 slices of pizza each, fries, and a ziti w/ a breast of chicken, and of course 2 sodas.

Yes A-H has free beer at the AH Busch Pavilion. Make sure you bring your ID. I think they limit you to something like 5 cups, but if you go to a different person each time, you can get more!

If I only was a Budweiser fan!!!
