We are going in Oct. on the Regular dinning plan need dinner advice, not big breakfast family. Lunch will be counter service. Thanks

Our DD was 2 when we went in May - we were on the regular plan, ate breakfasts in the room (except one) and had CS lunches. We also had our 4 year old son. I'd say their fave restaurants were Crystal Palace and Chef Mickey's. They loved seeing the characters -Pooh Bear and friends was a huge hit for DD. The buffets are nice b/c the 2 y.o. can eat whatever they want! We did CM for brunch, which worked out very well, and was a bit of a change. We'll be trying it for dinner next time. We also ate at LeCellier and Kona - no characters, but great food for everyone, and the kids did fine there. Our other choices were Wolfgang Puck (very good) and Whispering Canyon (not so good). Kids were fine in all the restaurants.

I think any of the character meals would be great for your little one!

I have to agree with the other poster. Just this past weekend I watched a video of an older trip when my daughter was two. We ate at the Crystal Palace. My daughter really interracted with the characters (Pooh, Tigger, Eyeore). We had a fantastic meal and the atmosphere was pretty upbeat. This past trip we went to Chef Mickey's and that has to be my all time favorite. I would definitely not plan a trip without visiting those two restaurants. Also, Ohana has incredible food. It doesn't have the characters for dinner, but your daughter would still do well there. Also, try the Sci-Fi Diner. You eat in a car in a drive in theater. The lights are off and a sci-fi movie plays on the screen. Your daughter would probably get a kick out of it. Have a great trip-take lots of pics because after watching our family videos this past weekend. I am grateful for capturing those magical moments.

Yes! Chef Mickey's is a MUST!!!!! That is the favorite for our kids and ourselves!
We are also big fans of Crystal Palace in Magic Kingdom, along with Liberty Tree which is a cute character meal with homestyle cooking.
The kiddos also love Toy Story Pizza Planet in MGM (counter service.) Sorry, I guess that is Hollywood Studios now.
And The Rainforest Cafe is a big hit with our young kids. The atmoshere is so awesome to them. Eating next to the "monkeys" swinging in the tree "talking" every 20 mins or so is just too much fun for the young ones. But that is not included on the Dining Plan, which is OK with us because we usually use two credits at California Grill during our stay.
Oh, and our DD 20months loved Sci-Fi in Hollywood Studios. Sitting in the cars eating dinner is cool to a toddler. And the glow in the dark ice cubes in her drinks were pretty amusing.:)

do you have a daughter or a son? Is he or she into a specific characters? Or are you looking at places that would be easier for you to eat with a baby?

any character dining - no waiting in line in the FL sun to meet, greet, and get autographs! my kids (3 and 1) LOVED chef Mickey's and Akershus Royal Hall (food was not our fave - but who has kid's that actually EAT in disney?).

have fun!

Just looking for the best place with a little one. I think I have done it....
Crystal Palace
Hoop De Doo
Japan
Chef Mickeys
Ohana's
Mama Melrose ?
What do you guys think, should I change anything up?

I think you ADR's look great. I think you will be pleased, as will your little one. However, I have never been to Mama Melrose Restaurant. I am sure if you checked the Dis you would see some reviews. Just a note, I also went to 1900 Park Fare (Grand Floridian) for breakfast and dinner with my daughter's and they absolutely loved it. There were characters there as well. We were with a grand gathering and the consesus was that it was one of the "best meals". So if you are unsure, you could give that a thought too. It is a buffet style-but don't be fooled. It is great food.

Good luck!
