Where to eat, where to eat....

BD might not be that enjoyable for the kids...

I have taken kids to BD before and they enjoyed it. But if the sun is still up, I would request a table outside. Lots for them to watch!

I wish we could move our family trip to Feb, cause htat is the only wany I could go down....but the money just isn't there! I have to get a new van soon as my van ahs 198,000 miles on it..impressive that it still runs!

When are you all going in Feb? I could always tell DH that my Nana is sick and I have to go see her....and go for 2 or 3 days....and have my mom pay for it for my BIG 30 in March!?!?!? Hmm....you guys are a BAD influence on me.

Jen, are you AND Nelson going? Or just you? We could room together to save $!

No, it would be the two of us. Sorry! :sad1: Usually we get a 1 bedroom and could have let you bunk on the pull out couch, but we are looking at a studio this time around...

Sat - Arrive, hit a counter service

Sun - Day off..... hit one resort for counter... pool, Dinner @ Ohana

Mon - MK... hit a counter somewhere, Dinner at Crystal Palace prior to fireworks

Tues - off.... ??? I need another "must eat" not in a park.

Wed - Epcot - Counter service some country, Dinner Biergarten (My friend wants to go there)

Thurs - DHS - Counter somewhere... Dinner H&V or MM or 50's.. dunno yet. Then the lights....

Friday - Cape May breakfast..... fly home :(

Thoughts? Suggestions?

Well I haven't planned anything either ... but I've actually been thinking about it ... the thought of being in the same place as Wally and Rosie terrifies me ... but yet it's slightly intriguing. I'm thinking about it ... but the nightmares may change my mind! ;)

Come on Saxton....come on......Need a little coaxing??? :rolleyes1

I like Cape May for dinner too. What about DTD?

Tara is so mad that CP will be closed during our visit. She really wanted to try it...Might do Liberty Tree as they're temporarily bringing back characters in Jan/Feb.

I should also add we want to see various resorts decorations, etc.

We could eat tuesday at DTD or another resort. I plan to swing by grand floridian the night we eat at Ohana.... and various counter resorts (if you have suggestions) on those 2 days because we get variety, but we also get to checkout the decorations!

We also will definitely be going to DTD at some point.... we have a balloon to conquer :)

Sat - Arrive, hit a counter service I really enjoy the Port Orleans Riverside foodcourt and of course you can go over to the bar area at night where the piano guy plays. Or take a carriage ride just outside in the evening (60$).

Sun - Day off..... hit one resort for counter... pool, Dinner @ Ohana Contemp and Wilderness Lodge have the best counter service in the MK resorts. But it would be fun to take a trip to AKL, because if you go back behind the lobby area, there's a viewing area of the savanah, and usually a couple of people there to talk to you about the animals. There's also a safari thing you can do from the resort, I've only heard it mentioned, but I don't know exactly what it is or how much.

Mon - MK... hit a counter somewhere, Dinner at Crystal Palace prior to fireworks Cosmic Rays or Peco's Bill. I love the taco salad at peco's and Cosmic has a huge chicken/rib platter meal that's really good too. If you're only ho-hum to Crystal Palace, have you ever tried the Plaza. It's there at the end of the street too, so you'd be able to see the fireworks/parade just outside.

Tues - off.... ??? I need another "must eat" not in a park. They have that new place at Boardwalk, that used to be spoodles. I'm not sure what the menu is like, but we plan on trying it sooner or later. (Kari only wants to try it because the chef is a lesbian... from what I've heard the offerings are not to her likings, but I'm always up for something new). I try to avoid the places at DTD, especially Rain Forest Cafe, I mean it's a chain the food tastes the same and is still highly over priced here as it is at home. Go for something you can only get here.

Wed - Epcot - Counter service some country, Dinner Biergarten (My friend wants to go there). I've had the Japan counter service and like it a lot. Don't forget to get a koki gori, shaved ice of deliciousness. I think you can finally use a snack credit on it now too.

Thurs - DHS - Counter somewhere... Dinner H&V or MM or 50's.. dunno yet. Then the lights.... HS has always disappointed me in the food there. I mean I've eaten at Sci-Fi and 50's and it's alright, I did not like Melrose. I'd like to try the Brown Derby, it's the only one that sounds decent. If you eat early enough of use a TS for lunch, why not head over to a resort, then just get something at a counter service for dinner so you can make it to the show.

Friday - Cape May breakfast..... fly home

I just made my ADRs!!! We leave in 11 days I am so excited!

I got everything I wanted even at times I wanted except Ohana :(.... it was booked everyday! Dangit! I left tuesday open.... I guess we will get there as they open and try to do a walk-in. Anita and I both really wanna eat there....

Otherwise here is the plan

Sat Arrive and visit our friendly CM, Mike!

Sun - Dinner Whispering Canyon for dinner (we are also getting pedicures that day and hiring babysitting service.... whoot) We will do the balloon sun or tues ;)

Mon - MK Dinner crystal palace

Tues - Day off.... walkin at Ohana... maybe do the balloon if we don't Sunday, RIGHT MIKE?

Wed - Epcot Dinner at Biergarten

Thurs - DHS - 50s prime time.... Get to see the lights, yaay :)

Fri - Breakfast at Cape May Cafe....

We will wing it with counter service :). I am not one to plan everything... We will pick as we go.

Can't wait can't wait!

If you want to go out of the parks for a cool supper one of the days, try to take your party to Boma's at AKL. It's AMAZING. My favourite place in Disney to eat :)

We like Boma..... our DVC is at AKV and we usually stay there and eat Boma at least once. I am kinda just skipping all of AKs existence this trip....

I am a nutbag :)

Boma has gone downhill. We were not happy with the dinner we had there in August. We still like it for breakfast, but dinner, eh.

Turkeygurl had posted that they were disappointed, too. Since AKV is our home resort I am sure we will continue to go there - hopefully the food will get better. The service was fine, we just didn't think the food was that great. We went once for dinner and twice for breakfast in August.

I hope it's good in December. We've never been and we have ADRS for Dec. 12 and the kids will be in the NL club.

We'll have to see.
