Where to eat on Thanksgiving Day?

I am HOPING that DH will say yes to a trip to WDW during Thanksgiving break. If so, this will be the first holiday we have ever spent there.

I know he is going to want to eat where he can have a "traditional" T-day dinner on Thursday... turkey, mashed potatoes, etc... and first thought is LTT... however, I hear MK is a HORROR on T-Day.

So any ideas where we can get a "traditional" T-Day dinner other than LTT?

Thanks!

I've been there on Thanksgiving 2x. We ate at the Swan. They had a special menu for the day. It was expensive and fabulous. I'd do it again. We spent that day at Epcot and took the boat over.

Don't despair 01Sweetpea! You can get a turkey dinner almost everywhere including some CS places like Tusker House in AK.

Quite honestly we've been to WDW twice for Thanksgiving and absolutely did NOT want to eat turkey but it was available at Narcoosee's and Wolfgang Puck's Cafe, our two holiday dinner destinations.

Check out the 2005 Thanksgiving menus at the following link:

Hope you get to go! :goodvibes

Penny - THANK YOU!!! IF we get to go, I'm thinking of getting the dining plan, so trying to do my research now, so at 180 days I have a clue as to what I'm doing!

This is why I LOVE the DIS... no matter what question you ask... SOMEONE always has the answer!

We have had 3 Thanksgiving meals at WDW. The first two were awful, but the last was great. We tried Hollywood and Vine and 'Ohana. ICK!!! This year we picked Chef Mickey's. MUCH BETTER!! There were traditional offerings of turkey, dressing (or as we call it Disney glue) and more unusual offerings like their normal buffet. From now on, it will be CMs for our Thanksgiving dinner.

We had our Thanksgiving Day meal at the 50's Prime Time Cafe this past Thanksgiving. It was a very nice time. You could order off of the regular menu or you could have the standard Thanksgiving Day meal of Turkey, Stuffing, Mashed Potatoes with gravey and cranberry sauce. A little pricey I think $18.99 per plate but it was a good experiance. It is like eating in your own kitchen, circa 1950s of course.

We did Thanksgiving dinner at Garden Grill in Epcot and had a traditional Thanksgiving meal. This was before they changed the menu, though, so I'm not sure if that would change also.

We did Bomas last Thanksgiving. In addition to the normal buffet they had Turkey and the trimings. The price was more than normal too but it was good. We were also staying at the AKL, I don't know that I would have made a special trip to do it.

We wanted to avoid the parks last Thanksgiving, so we ate at Artist Point, a very nice traditional meal. The stuffing with cranberries was especially good. A little more than I wanted to spend but the atmosphere, service, and food were all excellent. They say the parks were crowded, but after dinner we went to MGM to see the Osborne Lights, expecting it to be packed. Surprisingly, it wasn't bad and we had a very nice stroll through the lights.
