Where to eat lunch at in AK?

It seems like the meal options are limited at Animal Kingdom. We are on the deluxe plan so cost is not really an issue but would you do CS or eat a sit down, we are doing Tusker house for breakfast so I would like to skip another buffet. We have an ADR at Saana but not sure we want to go to the lodge.

What is the best place for lunch? Fairly adventures with 2 kids that will or wont eat depending more on mood then what is offered.

Flame Tree BBQ. It's a counter service, but the selections are good and you can get more than the cheeseburgers that most of the other CS places provide.

Flametree all the way! In fact I stated in my Disney wedding newsletter "If they closed down all of the rides in AK for the whole day I'd still go there just to eat at FlameTree!" Love the place

I hate to jump on the bandwagon, but I have to definetly recommend Flametree as well! It is only a CS but the food is great. It's just very difficult finding a seat during primetime lunch hours. Last trip we went to Pizzafari because Flame Tree was too crowded. It was mini pizzas and salads but it was good too. It was inside so it was nice and cool and there was tons of seating. Good eating!

If you want counter service I have to agree with everyone and recommend Flame Tree, it's awesome! However, the new Yak & Yeti counter service is pretty impressive as well! If you want sit-down but not Tusker House I would recommend Yak & Yeti. We had good food and the atmosphere/decor is really neat!

Flame Tree.. We love it! Ribs are sooo good!...although I did enjoy the Hot Italian Sandwich at Pizzafari...the pizza there (oddly enough) was 'meh'.

I agree. My DH does NOT like buffets -but he and I were very pleased with the huge variety of foods there for lunch.

I adore Yak and Yeti. I keep meaning to try other places when I go to AK, but I just cannot bring myself to skip Yak and Yeti!

We LOVE Yak 'n' Yeti and it's not unusual for us to have lunch there twice in one trip. DS, 11, loves it, too!

I'm also another bandwagon fan when it comes to Flame Tree BBQ, I love this cs. The only downside; the ducks love hanging out at the Flame Tree as well.

I'd do a cs for sure because after a big breakfast you might not be wanting a big lunch a few hours later. That's a lot of food and a lot of time sitting and eating instead of park touring.

If the weather is decent, try Flame Tree. If it's a very hot day, go to Pizzafari for the a/c.

Well.... Donald's Safari breakfast at Tusker House is a great way to start the day! Donald, Daisy, Mickey and Goofy.... great food. Plus schedule at 8am and you get in before the park opens.... and tusker house is right by Kilmanjaro Safari... get a fast pass, ride, then go to Asia and get a fast pass for you next favorite ride.....

We LOVED Yak and Yeti - table service. Food and service was great. I know table service meals can take time away from the park..... but this was very nice.

On another trip, we had dinner at Tusker House (a buffet). Food was great.

I enjoy Yak and Yeti for the opportunity to cool down, but Flame Tree is probably the best counter service on property. So if you decide not to take the time for a sit down, it's gotta be Flame Tree.

Mmmm....Yak & Yeti is one of my favorite WDW restaurants. GREAT food and atmosphere!!!

We have done Yak&Yeti several times and enjoy it! The atmosphere is great and so is the food! This trip we want to try the Picnic in the Park for a change!
